1) CR entered in a fight with the Outcasts due to IMG, as being the main reason. Later the reason moved to slavery. Now, for the Carda, CR is not against it per se, we were trying to hit the Oucasts in their economy. In the latest messages between the CR and OC it is shown that due to Outcast inability to breed, they rely on new fresh DNA, which is basically a movement of population. At the moment, inrp, we do not see it as slaves, but as volunteers to increase the population on Malta. (I know, a bit of coating) but we accepted that. Crayterian Citizens and Residents will put their differences aside as there is a new and more powerful enemy on our gates and is not represented by the Outcasts, is the Gallic Kingdom.
While both of our people are using resources against each other, we are also both fighting Gauls, with different styles. Why should we both look over the shoulder at this moment when Gallia can turn around and can basically make us both footnotes in their new history books? Would not be more logical to turn and fight the Gauls and after that threat is removed we shall see how we deal with the space issues between us. Also yes Piracy was an issue but while we were fighting against Orange Alliance and asked the Houses for support none came (except maybe Kusari during the Tau Campaign), thus now our stance changed to mostly us. As long as our people are not touched we are starting to not really care of what happens. Basically , not wasting resources in policing, while we need them to fight Gallia. (Made us a bit more selfish isn't it?)
2) CR going hostile to IMG. Ok, bare with me and will put all the reasons why.
IMG truly supported CR through the exodus and assisted us and not only us. They also gave a system to Council and assisted them in rebuilding. IMG was thus assisting the fighting against Gallia indirectly, making them part of the global Alliance against GRN. CR is a small state but is able to put together some ships and can annoy Gauls and maybe with luck score some good hits. In this war and from the allies in this war, the only one who really took the brunt of the fighting are the Bretonians and GRN is now focusing on them, giving a bit more freedom for forces like CR to move around Tau, Borderworlds and do some damage. Now, with the Southampton lost, BAF needs a new shipyard and even if we put our own to be used, BAF cannot haul their ships there for repairs or construct. The only logical option was Aland.
While the IMG has bases under GRN occupied space, we consider to offer them a mock occupation, thus making IMG safe from GRN, BAF would build the ships and CR would take the blame. This would have been under treaty that the base would return to IMG and that even more rights might have been given to IMG. Anyway, by accepting this, they would have loose the base for a while and then get it back, even increased. Thus they would remain part of the larger Alliance against Gallia and status quo would have been mantained.
Now, by refusing to do that, Bretonia will fall as they need that shipyard to survive. Military, aiding the enemy, even indirectly, makes you also the enemy. With a possible pro-Gallia IMG, CR is also forced to take action to protect itself. Bretonia must survive and continue fighting so CR can continue fighting or else we have the full GRN on us. And is not only affecting CR if Bretonia falls, but other Allies can face more GRN troops again. So the decision was taken on military reason. Once the GRN is pushed back and IMG is freed from them .... we will see. But at the moment we chose this based on military circumstances.
And again yes, we do not have ZOI, but that doesn't stop us to send inrp Ground Troops to assist.
