Work is progressing nicely. The runaway material has been cleared and work on the "graveyard" itself has begun.
I have good news and bad news for you.

The bad news is that none of the vessels, weapons or even just additional equipment like thrusters are in repairable conditions with the exception of one capital ship thruster.
The defending pilots have seriously overdone it. Many of the vessels are little but large hull sections that only hold together because they haven't been subjected to any noteworthy gravitational pulls as of yet. Some of them crumble and break in the sheer presence of one of our salvager frigates. Also, we have found most if not all of the batteries I have talked about. None of them are affixed to any repairable weapons or systems. The destruction is near absolute.

This is where the good news begin. The destruction is near absolute. It is not entirely absolute. None of the equipment itself is repairable. However, some of their components are in near pristine condition. A power coupling here, a set of conductors there. Some of the smaller crafts even have intact engine channels that can be reused with only minor corrections. Much of it will need to be disassembled so that any broken missing components can be replaced. Some of the simpler pieces might be usable out of the gate but you should at least be able to reverse engineer some of the salvage.
And while the larger ships are beyond any hope, a few select hull sections are just shy of total ruin. They can be reshaped without giving up much of their strength and you could try to pinpoint their general composition if you have any metalurgy specialists.
You could, of course, work with our people on this matter but I thought that we aren't to decide that. For now, our captains have simply deposited some of the material in question on Kinkaku-Ji.

I don't know if this is any help to you. Still, it is what we found. Efforts are still ongoing and the remaining work is vast but we are making steady progress.
