Like instead of a constructive idea, the way a player with your responsibility should provide, you sound like someone who flew straight, got SNAC'ed 100 times, and now your on a personal vedetta against bombers. SNAC'ing fighters was out of th reach for 88% of bomber pilots, and the rest 12 % spend months even years acuiring the skill. But thats beside the point. A cruiser can insta a bomber 100% easier than a bomber could ever insta a VHF. EVER. You seem to invest in and defend caps A LOT. doesnt seem fair to me, you view i mean.
So there is one guy, ONE!!!(Durandal) that can fend of some inexperianced fighters, and you base your opinion that scatters are still OP and very useful with their massive range ( ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY) meters, and their scattering abillitiy, with one persons ability in mind?
Ok, lemme ask you this. You strap your bomber with 4 scatters ok, and you have SNAC a nuke and a CD. Any ideas how to effectivly deshield, ummm idk anyone????
And you also say that mine trapping is a very effective method against fighters. Well, in this scenario i think that an equally good VHF mine trapper has a lot more chance to kill a bomber, dont yoou think??
Another remark, " Bombers are literally as fast as fighters " ( i have a blink blink expression on my face right now) Ummm, in what universe?? Not Discovery i can asure you of that. Bombers are a lot slower than most VHF's, Templar to be an exception.

Bombers have 2 efficient weapons, EMP and Render Energy cannon yes? Ok lets make a third out of a scattergun, a middle ground between EMP and Render.

Hull damage: 18k to 21k
Shield damage: 9k to 10.5k
With this you still INSTA VHF's, so they will pose a problem, but dude if you somehow manage to hit a HF or a LF, you fraking deserve a kill, and cheers, and a monument, a statue and a...( ok might have overdone it a bit , xxd)

So make a new weapon, delete scaterguns or dont and rebalance them, make a unique CODE for bombers only acuirable via loads of Sci Data. Idk, whatever you do, but dont leave them with a mine trapping as an only and 1 option versus VHF, because thats what they currently are. Plus they get shredded by SOLARIS, LM( pfff this one is EZ PZ and too often), chainfiring Charons even feck them ffs
I eagerly await CONSTRUCTIVE ideas, like most of you, someone just needs to start.
