And How did Ark Royal left Newcastle and reach Poole so fast?
If only everyone followed a system, we'd all know what was coming, and even the devs would have to follow it! Besides, its not 'Devtonia' anymore, its DEVTOPIA, which is even better. Paradise for developers. Disco Dystopia for the rest of us?
Just when I was thinking unscripted stuff still happens here, Bret vs Coalition turns out to be cooked up. Too bad it will just be mindless pvp and no real way for any measurable war to happen. Neither side has anything to risk, I say why bother log for scripted situations at all?
A lot of this was needed to update Gallia with how things ended (terribly) after the summer, I admit that...
Personally, I'm now just not acknowledging story changes or scripted situations anymore. Unless we can get a patch in between 'episodes' to set things up for faction conflicts to be more executable in game, other than scripting backdrops. With no achievable goals and no way to really challenge over territory, situations like Omega-49 are just hollow now. The common world here makes so much sense its better just to not look up.
I'd love to see a patch where as much effort went into adding more in game mechanics for wars over systems, which may also set up situations requiring trade and help stimulate trading to the effected areas. Although a lot of these changes needed to be tied down, not much changes anything to help with the low player population crisis. Until then, Discovery in general remains frozen leaving little point anymore.
I have found it much better to ignore what's going on in the 'world' of disco, and focus on individual encounters. Problem is, nothing is encouraging any influx to trade or the economy so despite many adjustments, unless the game changes, they are just cosmetic and don't effect anything. This is why I stay a generic independent (pirate), who barely pirates anything but npc's.
