Player Owned Base Name, IFF and Location Changes

Server Administrators will consider changes to a Player Owned Base (POB) IFF, name or location on a case by case basis. The requirements set out below describe the normal standards needed to be considered for a change. The team may at its own discretion waive these standards when appropriate. When determining whether a change should be approved, the team will have reference to the potential impact on the gameplay and roleplay of the surrounding area.

General:

• The POB's name must be recorded in the request title.
  
• The POB must be at least Core 2.
  
• The POB must not be subject to any ongoing attack declaration thread.
  
• The POB must not have been subject to any other change request within the last 6 months.

Name / IFF change:

• The one time payment of $500,000 must be left on the disclosed ship.
  
• The request must be the result of a change that is documented in the roleplay sections of the forum. This could include the POB being sold by one faction to another. Undocumented sales / exchanges taking place outside of the roleplay environment will not be considered eligible for change requests.
  
• The IFF change may only be to factions that are neutral, friendly or allied to the existing IFF.

Base Movement:

• The one time payment of $1,000,000 must be left on the disclosed ship. If the move request is being submitted for small QOL position alterations or due to significant changes to the current location's lore or system design, this fee may be waived at the team's discretion.
  
• The request must be the result of either development change, or an in-roleplay change that is documented in the roleplay sections of the forum. This could include a roleplay projects aimed at simulating the base's movement, or disassembly and reconstruction.
  
• The base will not be moved to within 15k of a mining field.
  
• Any existing defence modules will be lost with the move, and will need to be reconstructed at the new location.
  
  Additional considerations for POB modifications
  POB movements will only be processed in the following cases:
  • In-system relocation due to mod system update related POB relevant solar object or mining field movements
    EX: Shifting of a trade lane or mining field can justify the movement of a mining or trading POB situated deliberately in proximity to said trade lane or mining field
    
  • Major inter-system relocation due to mod system updates resulting in the loss of mining fields
    EX: Removal of a resource mining field from a system can justify the movement of a mining POB to another mining system
    
  • Major inter-system relocation due to the removal of the system that contains the POB
    
  • Minor In-system relocation for quality of life
    EX: Modifying the orientation of the POB, or small (within 5km movements to correct an error in placement.
    
  Desired locations can be requested, but all movement requests will be processed at the discretion of the staff team.
  
  POB name changes may be requested as a result of roleplay, examples may include:
  • The sale of the POB – complete with documented roleplay surrounding the sale
    
  • Rebranding of the POB from a mining base to a manufacturing center
    
  • Relationship changes necessitating the POB owner to change the name of the POB from a now bitter former lover to quite literally anything else.
    
  POB name changes will be handled on a case-by-case basis, but will always require some degree of roleplay justification, and will not be granted easily or often.
  
  POB IFF changes will be granted very rarely, and only in extensively roleplay justified extraordinary circumstances which may include:
  • The sale of a highly developed and roleplayed POB from one well established player faction to another
    
  • The hostile takeover of a POB through an extensively roleplayed scenario
    
  IFF changes will require extensive roleplay justification above the level of character SRPs, and will be subject to rejection for any reason deemed appropriate by the staff.
