For a very brief time I have had a Gammu AI character. I was very much shocked at the sheer hatred being thrown against this character just while "flying through space". It's like most episodes in human history that we fear and try to destroy that which we do not fully know or understand or that which is different from 'us' and the herd we (think) belong to.
Suffice to say that in this day and age in space (the time it's set in) there is a valid reason for AI to exist and to have evolved to become a society in itself. I personally believe that when people start seeing Gammu for what they can do and embrace them as 'one of us' or at least 'a neighbor' there can be much more interesting RP and storylines to pursue than just fear and loathing of that which we don't know or understand.
Not simply judging but being openly interesting in seeing where both humans and AI can see each other's strengths and overcome differences can perhaps pave the road for even better roleplay adventures.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you, but it's still on the list...
