I have heard some rumors from some ore traders that several large and slow moving ships are moving towards the Edge Worlds, I wonder if this is related some how. I've heard them described and some sort of gigantic 'Barge Like' Super Transport type vessels. I've instructed the (\^/)Cressida to meet (\^/)Aegaeon in the nebula to assist with your patrols.
On the trade front, I am very pleased to report the continued success of Delta Mining Corp. in Omicron Delta. Some recent security concerns with trade vessels representing so called 'house corporations' had led the base commander close docking until a better solution could be arraigned for them. Delta Mining Corp. is a small and isolated base that relies primarily on snub craft and small capitol ship patrols for its defense. Without static defenses, the increased activity had drawn extra attention from the alien entities in the system led to an increased need for fighter patrols to preform extermination duties and not their usual cargo scans and credential checking. This led to certain undesirables acquiring stock without authorization and thus shortages of Iridium ore for us and our clientele.
A solution has been implemented by converting some unused storage at Fort Scorpius into an ore loading dock. Non-Registered ships are being directed there to acquire our materials, and I must say so far it has turned out to be a very successful endeavor. The stations own defense platforms and subsequent proximity to Freeport 11 are able to keep most of the Nomads at bay while our ships preform their usual visa and permit checks as per our needs. That being said, we are now moving out of the initial phase of our plans for Fort Scorpius. Next we will be moving the Scientific Data Assay Office to the station for our continued collection and development of anomaly and defense data for our planned expansion of Kadesh Orbital Colony.
Recently we were able to transport 150 units of Data along with 500 Million Credits to Kadesh with the help of a few escorts. I hope that these changes will not disrupt our great success and our trade efforts in Delta will continue to pay off.
