Took the '\S/'Novae to Picardy to sell Ice, got lost. Ship is returned to Cortez and reloaded with Pristine Ice.
Total takings at the end of the day: 31 million.
Umm... My name is Muliah Taana.
I am new to the Starfliers and this is my first flight as a member. I was told to collect a Starflier transport from the Cortez system and deliver its cargo.
Thankfully, this is a line of work that I am familiar with. The cargo was Pristine Ice, something I have never heard of before. I wasn't told where to sell the cargo, so I checked the neural net. The only place name I recognised with an open contract for the cargo was Sigma-13's Newport Station.
However, the Neural Net listed Planet Amiens in Picardy and Planet Nauru in Omicron Delta as offering better prices.
I know that the Starfliers are about finding new things, so I decided to take a risk and try going to one of those... Plus I was warned to avoid the Sigmas.
I looked in the Novae's navigation computer and saw that Picardy was in there. Someone has previously flown the ship out that way, but I couldn't find any of the Omicrons on the computer. Since I don't even have a lead on how to get there, I figure I'm going to Picardy.
When I get back to the base in Kepler, I'll study some of their star maps and see what I can learn.
Unfortunately, it seems I made an oversight. I have never been to Gallia before and didn't know what to bring back as my return cargo. Thankfully, a kind trader from GMS was around to give me some advice and directions.
While I carefully monitored the H-fuel reserves, flying empty is a huge fuel saving, I managed to take a look at Orleanais and add it to the Nav-Computer of the Novae. Though I couldn't explore the whole system, transports aren't that efficient, I did manage to get all the trade lanes.
I later found H-Fuel was avaliable on Planet New Paris (which is now in the Novae's Nav-Computer) but it's at an absolute premium out here. The "good cargo" for New Berlin that the GMS trader mentioned was "Tawny Port". I ended up carrying the Military Salvage he suggested though, especially after I saw it wasn't guns, but rather old circuit boards and damaged hull panels.
The rest of the trip went smoothly and I returned the transport to Cortez without incident.

[01.03.2022 09:43:47] GMS|Chantelle: Bonjour
[01.03.2022 09:44:32] GMS|Chantelle: English? What is English? I speak Sirian International
[01.03.2022 09:45:09] '\S/'Novae: Muliah: Same lang... Never mind. Umm, I am wondering if you can help me.
[01.03.2022 09:45:11] GMS|Chantelle: Are you lost?
[01.03.2022 09:45:43] '\S/'Novae: Sort of. I know my sale point is this planet right here, but I have never been out this way before.
[01.03.2022 09:45:54] '\S/'Novae: I need a cargo to return with.
[01.03.2022 09:46:04] GMS|Chantelle: Return to?
[01.03.2022 09:46:52] '\S/'Novae: I'm from the Starfliers, we're based in Kepler, but this ship needs to return to Cortez.
[01.03.2022 09:47:48] '\S/'Novae: Long as I can find a cargo that I can take somewhere near there. I tried asking these patrols, but they speak...umm... Gallic?
[01.03.2022 09:47:50] GMS|Chantelle: And which way will you travel? Via Rhienland, Kusari or Bretonia?
[01.03.2022 09:48:33] '\S/'Novae: Kusari or Rheinland. I'm not keen to be spotted in entering Bretonia coming out of here.
[01.03.2022 09:49:59] GMS|Chantelle: Ah! If you head back to Planet New Paris, there is a commodity that sells very well on New Berlin
[01.03.2022 09:50:36] GMS|Chantelle: Or if you prefer, visit Mont Blanc and take Military Salvage to New Berlin
[01.03.2022 09:50:55] '\S/'Novae: I heard you need a permit for that.
[01.03.2022 09:52:20] GMS|Chantelle: What the eyes and ears don't see and hear, the heart won't griev
[01.03.2022 09:52:55] '\S/'Novae: I see. That sounds intruiging... Is there anything I should stop to look at while around here? As newcomer to the area.
[01.03.2022 09:53:21] GMS|Chantelle: Have you been to Orleanais?
[01.03.2022 09:53:39] '\S/'Novae: No, I haven't.
[01.03.2022 09:54:33] GMS|Chantelle: Well, if you travel up the Trade Lane opposite me, it will take you to Orleanais. Just keep on track and you will soon be there
[01.03.2022 09:55:13] '\S/'Novae: *checks her nav-computer* Not in the nav-map. Good, this is information I can add. Thanks for all the help.
[01.03.2022 09:55:56] '\S/'Novae: Oh... And is there anywhere to buy H-Fuel out here?
[01.03.2022 09:56:08] GMS|Chantelle: You are welcome and welcome to Gallia. Enjoy the sights
[01.03.2022 09:57:54] GMS|Chantelle: H-Fuel, now there is a thing. I am sure we might sell it, somewhere, but I am not 100% certain. It is not something we use.
[01.03.2022 10:00:10] '\S/'Novae: No problem. I have enough in the tank for now, I was just asking for future reference.
[01.03.2022 10:00:55] '\S/'Novae: Again, many thanks for the help. Have a great day.
[01.03.2022 10:01:25] GMS|Chantelle: Seeing as we have many visitors to Gallia, nowadays, I feel we sell it somewhere, but I have no idea where
[01.03.2022 10:01:41] GMS|Chantelle: Safe skies to you. Au revoir.
[01.03.2022 10:01:50] GMS|Chantelle: Bon voyag
[01.03.2022 10:02:02] '\S/'Novae: To you as well. *Muliah smiles and moves to dock with the planet*
