Biography: Born in Los Angeles to a large middle-class family. Dropped out of high school in 821 A.S. due to poor academic performance and got a part-time job as an administrative clerk for a small transport company. Took a basic course of flight training at Valley Forge Training School in 826 A.S. and passed the course on the first try. Was encouraged by her enlisted brother to join the Liberty Navy for better job prospects. Enlisted in the Liberty Navy and passed officer school in 829 A.S.
