This is the first time I actually post here. I think.
But I just feel pushed into a corner here.
Some background information:
3 years ago (give or take), I submitted a request to get our Core 5 a unique model using 2500 sci data. I made it a request with our plans with it and discussed with story at the time what we would like to do with it in the future. Unseelie contacted me with the suggestion to canonise the POB instead and make the POB a dockable which was part of the model. And so it was. We developed more of the lore and made it into a proper station
Now new POB placement rules were made. The lone docking module looks very silly while floating in space. Our pob section wasn't on the list to be moved. The whole system was sized down. So I thought it was just due to the movement of solars. I make a player request to have it moved back into place.
Now yesterday, I suddenly get contacted by devs to choose. They no longer accept the construct of Kinkaku-ji being made up of two sections. I understand where they are coming from. But now we need to choose between having it as an NPC base or as a POB. Naturally the obvious choise is the NPC station. GC already lost the Battleship Matsuda last patch, and our perked commodity literally everyone in the faction was RPing around.
So losing several gameplay elements already, we get the choice between losing yet another solar, or a core 5 POB we invested billions in over the past 5 years, because of a construct the staff themselves proposed to me.
I proposed something myself in return: Just separate the two: Keep Kinkaku-ji an NPC station and just allow us to rename and move the POB to a different area, effectively eliminating the issue on their side.
They didn't accept that. Instead I get the new message that they could make it a pob again with the Kinkaku-ji model and instead giving Morioka a new docking bay, completely ignoring the value that the KKJ NPC station has, not only to GC, but to many other factions as well.
