In regards to us - Battlegroup Ouroboros was formed in 825 AS originally as the Ouroboros Revolutionary Group, which intended to establish a state in exile counterpart to House Kusari, similar to the.. sadly illfated Commonwealth of Liberty. We were founded by Nodoka Hanamura, former administrator of Freeport 11 and Kusari Exile. Hanamura-taichou founded our movement following her departure from Freeport 11, understanding that the tense situation in the Omicrons made running and maintaining a Freeport extremely tenous and difficult. Prior to this, she resided at Freeport 11 as a resident, spending time there due to her exile from Kusari and the instability in Liberty, where she fled to prior.
The cause for our movement's existance is multivarious, but primarily stems from a disgust with the state of Kusari, a mockery of what a nation should be - to quote a wise man - the state should serve the people, not the other way around. Our leader's past provided many of us, a perspective that the Shogun and his abettors, would rather the people not know.
Hanamura-taichou is a first generation Kusari, who experienced and lived during the final days of our house's terran predecessor, the Republic of Japan. She found herself amongst the present thanks to a Kusari-Kishiro joint program of which we have little intelligence on, other than visual evidence of her internment under them. That being the case, Kusari and Kishiro Technologies of course, disavow her allegations. Suffice to say, if her elegance did not catch the more.. gutter minded of our ranks, of which thankfully these days there are few - her tales of her late father, Admiral Kyle Hanamura nee Andrews of the ANS Covington, who defended our ancestors as they fled to Sirius, alongside hundreds of thousands of other men and women of the Alliance - the fact she never got the chance to see her siblings or mother ever again, and that they were possibly fed a lie to keep them complacent about her absence - the fact she laid before us, that Kusari as it is now, is not sustainable, and that we as Ouroboros must repeat the cycle that shifts Kusari forward into a brighter future.
Unlike modern Kusari, The republic was a constitutional republic, where the Emperor held no authority over the Legislature, where after years of failed conservative policies and desperate clinging to power. The former, much like in Kusari now, resulted in progressive ideals starting to take hold. We of course, did not forget our past, our culture, our ways - but we did not cling to them like a child does to a stuffed animal like the Imperials do. The ever elegant festivals like which are held on Kyushu and New Tokyo, the exotic cuisine that many a gaijin comes to our home to taste, that has been exported to the rest of the houses, much like it was on Earth. Our technology, innovative and driving the beating heart of Sirius, much to the chagrin of Liberty's Oligopoly - Hanamura-sensei, and the stories she told, the history we uncovered thereby - revealed to us the true potential of Kusari, and how it was squandered by social and sexual divides, inequality, worker and human rights abuses and a questionably competent or even legitimate government - all for the sake of one small group of people, who believe themselves ordained by the gods. If one is foolish enough to think, when even groups like our own, have dabbled in playing god, and many others have as well - that the blessings of god is nothing more than favoring of undertakings, than some necessity that we believe someone to be a leader just because some sky person said so. If Hanamura-taichou said she was blessed by Amaterasu, I'd personally ask her to prove it. But she doesn't.
Some consider our fealty to her to be.. cult-like. But if there was ever an example of that not being the case, it was the fall of Maehara in the Sigmas, and subsequent 8 years in deep space, that cost us thousands of men both dying and leaving our cause - some even, of her closest friends. She never claimed to be some holier-than-thou. She is human. Just like the rest of us. And her humility in her and even our central command's failures, mine included, that has afforded loyalty in our ranks of those who remain. We are built of gaijin and nipponjin. Of anarchists and republicans. Of men and women. Of Humans and androids. And we see her vision, and know that even with these setbacks, we can rebuild, and manifest a reprisal - that we will ride on towards the rising star. We see a Kusari we can all call home. A Kusari that we can be proud of. Where the shackles built against our races, our genders, our sexualities, our religions, or even the bones that bind us ourselves - can be broken - and we can establish a House that is the ever referenced beacon upon a hill, of which all others will look on as the example - of how a house should function - where prosperity, freedom and justice are held in high regard.
Our goals to this, are straight forward.
Through aiding factions like the IMG, RPA, and others who share similar or near exact ideals to our own - through building our notoriety and numbers, growing ourselves to heights even above our predecessor, We will move to initiate a wide-scope campaign against the Kusari Government, its' military, and undesirables like the Gen'an Chrysanthemums, with the goal of either a peaceful shift of power to a pro-Ouroboros political majority, or a decapitation of the Imperial family, Kaigun Admiralty and the Miyasu administration by force, through Psychological Warfare, Espionage, Guerilla and direct warfare, among other efforts.
Ouroboros' political platform focuses on the following:
The dissolution of the current Kusari state, and replacement with a Prime Minister elected by the people.
Reformation of Kusari's lacking political structure, implementing a ranked choice voting system.
Establishing a balance of self-governance and authority between prefectures and the federal government that ensures autonomy while protecting and preserving essential rights and freedoms.
The reformation of the Kusari Kaigun into a exclusively defensive force.
The nationalization and establishment of unions for the major Keiretsu.
The declassification of all documents relating to crimes against humanity and Kusari done by all predecessor states.
Illegalization of gender, race, sexual, religious or other discrimination in any capacity.
Nationalization of Major health systems to provide for the wellbeing of the people of Kusari.
The expulsion of Synth Foods from Kusari, and benefits for domestic and foreign trade involving local agriculture and technology to remain competitive with House Liberty.
Establishment of universal healthcare and basic income to eradicate inequality and inequity.
Promote research into the sciences, especially those that undermine the toxic addiction of Cardamine, among other technologies.
Now. I think you have that answer sorted. But I understand you wish to know something more.. relevant to the IMG's concerns.
As I stated prior in the last point, we do wish to tend to the 'Orange Nightmare'. But as a clarification on Ouroboros' official stance:
Battlegroup Ouroboros, nor its' predecessor, the Ouroboros Revolutionary Group, have had any intent or desire to tolerate the use, distribution or production of Cardamine amongst our ranks, nor in any territory where we hold dominion. Our policy only permits persons to carry Cardamine acquired under their own resources, whilst off duty and only possess enough to maintain their survival and functionality in our ranks. We do wish to establish some sort of logistics chain for acquiring Stabiline, as we would much rather our personnel for many reasons, carry that, but unfortunately Stabiline to our knowledge was, and possibly still is difficult for unlawful parties to acquire. Something possibly, the IMG would be willing to act as an intermediary for.
Speaking as a former Golden Chrysanthemum, who barely escaped the 'Orange Nightmare' with her life, I sympathize with my fellow Chrysanthemums who, unlike the Gen'an, wish to be treated as equals, but have succumbed to the pressure to consume and partake in the trade to further the cause. I see Ouroboros as a third way, personally - one that I hope you and the IMG will support in whatever way the Guild sees as viable.
