Okay. Alright. Fine. Okay...
Okay where to begin. Alright. The patrol today started off relatively fine. I had spent some time in the simulator to try to get the hang of flying this Ceres built thing, but I ended up getting contacted by a Galway ship who was in need of an escort through Bretonia. I obliged him, rendezvoused with his longhorn, and proceeded to CDC. The trip over was uneventful, and I then proceeded to cover him until we had left Bretonia, taking him as far as Curacao before turning around to return to my patrol. While doing the loop of London, I met up with Constable Gotoda and we almost immediately ran into a ship going by the name of captain_riker. I've made a habit of scanning every ship I run into as per the handbook, and his ship was full of untagged gold. The guy even admitted that he got it on the Molly base in Dublin. Now I know that's pretty bad, but this guy wasn't in our known offenders database, so I was willing to let him off with a fine and a warning if he promised not to break embargo again. Gotoda agreed, as the captain seemed to be pretty unfamiliar with the situation in Bretonia. Citing the violation of Regulations 2.1 and 2.2 of the United Kingdom of Bretonia Charter of Interstellar Law, I issued him a fine of 80,000 credits (this is admittedly less than the typical 108,000 for his cargo hold but I was willing to let him off easy).
Unfortunately this did not go over so well. The captain became argumentative, dumped his cargo, and fled the scene. We pursued after the ship, asking multiple times for him to stop and pay the fine. He then proceeded to beg us to kill him, and we decided not to give him that pleasure and simply destroy his weapons. He then opened fire on us, and caused damage to both of our ships. We had no choice and had to neutralize the ship.
We turned around to get repairs back at London, and almost immediately we found a Junker smuggler by the name of Slainte, but the ship proceeded to moor without saying a word.
Oh lord I just got this engine fixed too and it is making so much damn noise again! Ugh where is the coffee? Isn't there a damn place I can get an espresso around here, and a decent croissant? Please, lord...
