Hello, hello.
I will be blunt. I expected far less entertainment in this job but Bretonia proved me wrong today.
A Freelancer who managed to steal a Gaul Lynx and got away with it? Sign me up, that's my kind of guy. Poor soul almost got his ass burnt by a few Mollys on his way to New London. Since I saw nothing wrong with it, I let him slip away. I suppose the ship ends up on the grey market, perhaps we should acquire it for target practice? I suspect Sergeant Top might never have enough of shooting at Gallic vessels.
On the other hand, there were also less amusing matters. I assisted with the interception of an entire Corsair logistical division by the looks of it. A handful of Frigates and Transports delivered to the gun following a showcase that Hispanics can rival the average Rogue when it comes to class and taste. If they were not so arrogant on top of this, it would be almost sad. May I suggest we take off the gloves sooner next time? Might not give them a chance to slip away again.
Now after we cleaned up those Corsair scoundrels, everyone left for New London orbit to celebrate a bit. I caught a ping coming from Leeds instead and hauled over there, found that Miner girl seemingly upset with every single one of us. Surprisingly, she can be quite nice if she wants to. However, the conversation was cut short when a Gaul tried to sneak past.
In hindsight, I am convinced they wanted to be seen lingering close to the Memorial. No Captain working for an intelligence agency would be stupid enough to get caught off guard twice like this. Anyway, we had a decent chat. As decent as it gets with a Gaul. Turns out that particular one liked to discuss the Hispanics and their traits way too much not to be awfully suspicious. Maybe chip that info over to the BIS, anyone?
Long story kept short, Sergeant got wind of me having caught something and hurried over. The Gaul vessel stood no chance. For reasons unknown, the Captain had captive Gauls aboard. Some of them survived and were taken into custody by the Sergeant. A few were shipped to Sprague, it seems. As a final note, have a small collection of todays occurrences down in the attachments.
If the days keep going like this, I may even start liking this job.
