You want hard try flying a gunboat against a bomber of equal experience.
Besides the more armor you have the less room you have for loot so there is a trade off.
The gunship is getting fixed. Its a shame the turrets are being nerfed, all it needed was a hit box fix.
If small = less power then what in the heck are bombers fireing the Supernova for? Or a better question how is it that the bigger the tech the less functional it is.
I real life the challenge seems to be minitureization not gargantuization. However the inverse is true here.
Armor is fine. Just fix the hit boxes and all will be well. The armor already cost more than a battleship and is in my opinion worth more than a battle ship.
Being that battleships have limited play, acceptance, mobility, and ussually indicate weak RP.(cynicism) When I can afford to smack cap armor 8 on my gunboats I will. Why cause gunboats are the largest most playable ship.
Not all of us want the Robotech, gundam wing, top gun feel. Some of us want the deliberate and calculated play of cap ships. Where skill is not measured in reflexes(physically) but in timeing, location, load out, and intelligence of threats. (mental challenges) Since dodgeing isnt an option normally.
Not all of us are young with cat like reflexes or great conections so capital ships let you take a more mental role. The only down side is you cannot play every part of the game a twitchy fighter jock can. Leave the armor alone. Cap ships have been casturated enough.
