No, Prowler. That wasn't speed modding. The guy was simply using a game mechanic to catch up with his buddy, and in turn catching up with me. Through that, he eliminated the disadvantage of disengaging his cruise engines. As far as modding goes, there wasn't any involved there. Not to my perception anyway.

"Used well" is an interesting remark when you consider that such "exploitable tactics" are all used to gain an unfair advantage. As for gathering evidence. I can think of a few ways to do it. A small sequence of screenshots (5 or so) picturing my ship in cruise speed and a fixed object like a planet or station (to demonstrate that I wasn't turning) while the other one decreasing its distance from mine is one way.
