Logically, it only makes sense for Rheinland to at least know how to produce it's own parts with the danger of war with Liberty. You say the tradelane network would collapse without parts, how would Rheinland get the parts if they went to war with the nation that is the only source of said parts?

Liberty and Ageira work hand in hand. If a tradelane container is stole who do you think recovers it?.. Its jam packed with all kind of transmitters. Even the card says they have never lost one that wasn't recovered. Also it says that amongst the various defensive measures to maintain its security is an explosive device designed to explode if its not opened in an Ageira facility. Tell me that you want to sift through the ashes after that. And if you do it on a station.. Well then you risk explosive decompression for the whole station.
