That's exactly my point, the Liberty Ageira thing that is.
If Liberty and Rheinland go to war, Ageira will not supply Rheinland with trade lane parts. They will find their tradelane network is falling to pieces eventually. Rheinland would not want to risk that and so would be busy trying to find out, or already know, a lot about tradelanes
Once again, that rumour no doubt came from an Ageira employee who would not be inclined to say that the Lane Hackers basically know pretty much all that Ageira know. They know all about trade lanes, hence why they can hack them plus they have the ship records from sources inside Ageira.
I highly doubt that the Lane Hackers do not already know of the way to open Ageira containers, since they tend to target them anyway and seem to be doing good for themselves. Sources inside the company ensure up to date information too.
All in all, Ageira's trade lane technology is not solely restricted to Ageira. The Lane Hackers also have it and no doubt the other Houses know how to construct them etc but simply allow Ageira to do it instead for ease of use.
