easy - loose them. - last time i had clover, my gaian equipped with 4 archangels. i lost them to a firefight with an escort. - 3 were blown off by missiles, the last one was destroyed by a mine. - the opponent blew up by the supernova.
i lost the archangels - simple as that. now i have 4 coladas.
before that i had a fight with my BHG against the order. i lost everything but the supernova - the repair cost me over 10 million + some time to travel around to bases that a BHG can dock with to replace the gear.
... but yes... i appear to have more time to replace that stuff, indeed. my opponent did not blow up by my hand. - we both had only the supernova left - he blew my stuff away with several sunslayer hits, i blew his stuff away with firestalker+cannonballs. - a single SN on a bomber cannot blow anyone up, acuse it recharges slower than the shields. - he planetdived btw.
about the marsflyer guns - ( except htat i sold them to the NPC vendor again now ) - i would take care that i m not drawn into a fight that i don t HAVE TO fight. i don t go lightly into a pvp. i don t "seek" the pvp. - pvp is the LAST resort to solve any problems. while i had the marsflyer guns, i had a single pvp against one keeper.... he was destroyed but i only engaged him when he got into the closest range to FP11. when an active defense was inevitable and no one else would be there to assist anymore. - and thats a single pvp in over a month. - all the rest was solved by threatning people with putting a bounty on them or simply calling them to cease fire. - of course the life of a zoner is not as pvp centered as other factions lifes.... .
edit: so, yes, i do take that serious. - when i sundived after every fight - i d take a firefight too lightly - i wouldn t consider it the last option anymore. - come to that, i take the roleplay serious in that aspect - but i take it a lot less serious when it comes to "roleplay rules" made by others or the stuff that upsets the community so often. - those i consider loose guidelines that are there to be broken. and i dont care what ship i use and what weapons i equip much or what others do - as long as they can explain it by what they do ingame. so i wouldn t care for a corsair flying a liberty dreadnaught if his story convinces me. - only when it comes to a char death, i think some consequences should be there. its the only thing in the game that makes me avoid a playerdeath / a pvp. too many players rush mindlessly into a pvp as if they value their char life to be worthless. ... and it is worthless when they commit suicide.
