for some reason i dont have xfire_games.ini

If you have Vista the file is inside a hidden dir C:\ProgramData\Xfire\.

There is no problem with how your doing it Cannon, as most of us launch Freelancer from a desktop shortcut of some kind anyway. Hence why your updating method should STILL work. This is just a fix for your fix. :P

I use xfire a lot, to launch freelancer for example, very useful tool.
