' Wrote:Technically, patriotism is love for the institutions of one's state, while nationalism is love for one's nation, which is defined as cultural/ethnic community rooted in a particular territory. While the distinction is useful in certain contexts and for some analytical purposes, it's rather moot in others.
Patriotism - is feeling. Like love to your culture, nation, culture. It's then you care about your culture, then you are practising its old ways. Then you care about its nature. And then you are proud to call yourself a part of that culture.
Nationalism well it stands on patriotism. But for more it is more political thinking. And perhaps a bit more radical. It touches few main points: ecology - you cant love your coutnry then you are contantly polluting it. Demography and migration: its very important to cut down emigration, and imigration into country. Very important point (I think the main idea) is that not natives should try adjust to forgeigners but foreigners should adapt to natives of that country (that means learning its language and more). Understanding that counntry isnt just a terriotry populated by people, but territory ant nation with its own culture which should be respected, and not be boiling pot of mixed cultures.
Well maybe I clearified a bit. Anyway, this is wrong topic to speak about this:)) I think we shouldnt do it right here.
