' Wrote:As I said above, the whole C'Tan "Empire" is up in the air regarding it's size, effectiveness, and interest in humanity. Regardless, the Phantoms are the only C'Tan project in Sirius and the surrounding systems (of which would likely be filled with Nomads, considering every uncharted system has been empty or Nomad-controlled).
The C'Tan aren't supposed to be major players in anything. They aren't even supposed to playable NPCs in role play. They're sort of like the "gods" of the Phantoms. We're a different sort of religious zealots, following their will to the best of our abilities.
And, as I update the Phantom lore and role-play, you'll notice the C'Tan taking a smaller and smaller role as time goes on. If possible, I'd almost like to get rid of them beyond being the "overlords" of the Phantoms.
The focus of my story wasnt going to be on the C'tan anyway, they're just the ones that ignited it. The focus was to be on an as of yet unknown alien race that's fighting (and losing) a war against the expanding C'tan empire, and is looking to humans for help.
EDIT:
Who actually abducted Aki is still to be decided, the C'tan were my first choice but it may still end up being one of their underling races. The way I see it, the C'tan use a myriad of lesser alien races to do their work - just like they're using the phantoms to try and cause a little chaos in Sirius before their main fleet comes in to wipe humanity out and enslave whatever's left. The phantoms are just a vanguard.
