Adrian DeWinter ordered a table in the "citizenry" style restaurant.
The place was actually quite nice, decorated elegantly with posh carpets and wallpaper. Swords were crossed together to form decorations that reminded DeWinter of 15th century paintings from Earth. The walls, along with the wallpaper, were also covered with paintings of previous Kings and Queens of Bretonia. Just copies, but they made the room look all the better.
The CEO of Artemis Galactic Security probably could of bought his way onto the next floor, or could have a reason to be up there. At the time, DeWinter was awaiting a reply from representatives of all the major factions of Bretonia. He had offered contracts to each. Hopefully Artemis would finally get a contract for the first time since it went Galactic.
He walked over to the table assigned for him, and sat on one of the padded seats surrounding the small table. He lifted his right arm and placed the briefcase on the table. He snapped the two clips off and opened the briefcase, revealing DeWinter's personal touchpad.
He never wore it on his forearm, it would probably make him look like some ship technician on the move.
No, he preferred to keep it in a fancy briefcase.
He turned on the pad and opened a blank page. He tapped a few more options and a keyboard appeared on the screen. He turned the pad landscape so the keyboard was facing the right way, and began to type with the grace of the men who occupied the floor above.
