So the basis for our entire RP is a con? Wow, imagine that.

Here's a little lesson for you. About roleplay.

It's not all about talking (as blasphemous as that sounds!) RP includes actions. Blowing up NPCs and taking the pilots to torture them, or infect them (as the Aoi Iseijin do). Cruising silently above the plane through systems for stealth. We've just been conditioned to equate good RP with long, drawn out equations. A Phantom can say more in a couple lines and guns firing, as it is totally in their roleplay. You get lucky, and catch one in a chatty mood? Good for you. A charitable mood? Hit the god damn casino.

People have called the Phantoms cowards for attacking traders and fleeing from lawful forces when they arrive. Damn right we're cowards, because bravery doesn't terrorize people; striking from the shadows, randomly, annihilating anyone anywhere anytime -- that's scary. Never knowing if you'll be next, jumping as you see unknown contacts creep up. Mon'Star is one thing, he's a huge ship that you can see and run from easily. The Nomads are a thing of the Edge Worlds, and rather overt as well (being glowing blue ships). Normal pirates are obvious as well. Phantoms instill fear through cunning, stealth, and the ability to end a life as they choose.

I know this won't really solve much, as people will still complain about our RP. But hey, maybe you'll be informed complainers. Maybe.
