For bounty hunters;

- They need to study their target, find out what their flying, when their usually around, where the target(s) are operating

- To do that Bounty Hunters need to corporate and perhaps pay Freelancer for any information they can give
- Most of the times ship & faction are already announced when somebody puts up a bounty

You don't have to run around aimlessly. 95% of the players online are in a faction (including independents) which means you have a area of operations.

For instance;

Rheinland Military

- Patrol Rheinland space for any hostile activity
- Gather up forces to engage Liberty
- Or to protect the borders

Does that look headlessly to you?
I can keep going if you want me to and tell you what you should be doing.
Yes it can be rather boring if your flying alone, I can't change the fact that most things are going on in Liberty (and Omicrons)
But maybe if everyone starts to wake up they realize that theres more out there, I don't know maybe removing system location will make people go out there.

And even if they don't, it's nothing but realistic.
I can recall myself saying ''Do you think the soldiers in Afghanistan have a list of the Talibans location?''

trust me: it does not work that way.

as for house space: yes, patrolling can be a solution. but that means that you are still indirectly looking for players to rp with.

if Rheinlanders invade liberty, how will liberty players be able to tell? there isn't a ln(s) player 24/7 in Texas. same goes for the other waya round when liberty invades Hamburg.

and in the Edgeworlds it's boring as hell if you don't know where people are.having to fly distances of 60-70k on cruise is no exception there. I don't fancy spending my freetime taking over 10 minutes to cross a system, hoping I might bump into someone.

it's just not practical. the idea is nice. but it has too many downsides to it.

remember. this is game. it should be played for fun. if you start removing every bit of 'unrealisticness' to enhance realism, you'll find yourself bored very soon. just as in reality.
