I always make pretty reasonable requests, I think.
Today, I was trying to pirate two miners in the silver field in my Werewolf. I asked for 1 million each, a reasonable amount when you consider how much they make.
They made no response, so after a little bit, I raise the amount. 2 million. Waiting makes me nervous.
Finally, one says that he'll pay the two million. I say, good, fantastic, but your friend owes 3 million now, since he hasn't said anything this whole time.
I am very nervous. We have been sitting here too long. My spider senses are telling me that they are summoning help, but I figure that I'll RP it out, see what happens.
They summoned a BH gunboat, lawl at me, and then run away as I fight the gunboat. Whatever, fine, I don't do this for the credits really. I'll put up a show, I figure I'll fight the gunboat, and then eventually run away.
End of the story? It ends up being 4 vs me. I would have survived, but the gunboat lolkilled me in the middle of RP in the NFZ of Bethlehem.
Next time any miner doesn't respond right away, I'm opening fire until they do. Lesson learned.
edit: Really, is 1 million too much?!
