As per usual, my day started off with a fibre full breafast and a glass of imploding Helghast... A Helghast gunboat was spotted by Cobalt on long range scanners whilst we were conversing about his new gun setup. Rather strange but very effective! Anyway, said Helghast was running with a Cruiser, one of the corsairs cruisers I believe. Seems a Blood dragon had somehow got a hold of one. No idea how, I'm sure the Corsairs would have given us information about such a security leak. We immeadiately engaged the Helghast gunboat, as they engaged Cobalts gunboat. Seeing their tactic, Cobalt drew there fire whilst I pummelled them from behind. The Helghast was soon destroyed with extreme predjudice:

By this time, I was amazed Cobalt was still in the fight. Taking flak from both the gunboat and a cruiser must have been hard to deal with. He continued to draw the cruisers fire until his hull started to crack. Taking the safe option and ejecting, I tractored in his pod.
The cruiser was then at my mercy. I utilised the full potential of my bombers manouverability to stay behind him and pummel his engines. Needless to say he didn't last long:

Absolute minimal damage taken (no bots or bats used at all) except for the loss of one gunboat, which is easily replaced. The Helghast should learn as to whom they are dealing with before I stop defending and start attacking...

((ooc: There were some comments about ramming after the fight was decided. Ramming is inevitable in most fights, even between fighters. If someone stops dead in front of me whilst I'm right on their tail you can see what is going to happen. I apologise for ramming, however it was accidental and unavoidable. As were the other instances of ramming by others that occured during that fight.))
