Title: Untitled.
The other day I was lucky enough to run into Katrina's commander, a young man by the name of Gunther Rall. I forget exactly what his title was but it sounded important and manly.
Rather interesting fellow, this one. The scary part is he's a Military top-dog and he's only two years older than me. Well, according to my sources anyway. Don't know what he looks like up close, since we only met in space, but going by what the other Military officers I've been speaking to have said he's supposed to be quite aesthetically pleasing.
He also seems disinterested in women in general. I wonder if he's still chaste. It would explain his reaction when I offered to go to bed with him.
This might get interesting...
Putting that aside, the important thing is I've found a way to earn my keep. He wants my maps of Liberty. That's all well and good; but therein lies the laborious task of actually retrieving, downloading and processing the data. It's all locked away in the Alsatia's computer core.
Getting back into Puerto Rico is never all that hard, especially in light fighter craft such as ours - which are too small for the Navy to pick up across the Texas wastelands. There is a minimal chance of simply running into a patrol, but that hasn't happened yet.
That's the easy part. The real challenge is going to be decompiling all the data into something a human can read. I'm no Lane Hacker, I only know how to use the Alsatia's computers from blind trial-and-error.
We'll be setting off together tomorrow to retrieve the Alsatia. Once there I'll download her map data wholesale and throw it on a portable drive I've been given for the purpose and let some boffin on Berlin handle it.
They'll have knowledge of just about every single jumphole, battleship, navy and commercial installation in the entire Liberty house.
