I Very strongly disagree with more forced "roleplay" rules.

Why making it more difficult? Why say " You have to!" do such and such?

Why not allow the choice of people wearing tags or not, up to them?

This thread is like saying "Only people wearing the blue shirts ("official tags") can play with the ball" on a 15 team basketball free-for-all.

Think of Discovery as Street Ball, instead of Official NBA match.

Everyone can play and you don't need a specific outfit. Yes you need to identify your team members, but sometimes it's ok to be plain/undercover/without tags, and just play.

That's not just Keepers / phantoms /etc/ that can benefit from untagged. Don't turn this into a keeper/phantom/special whingefest. Yes LSF "should" drop their tags. They have once or twice. They also do regularly (afaik) when they DO go undercover. But they "should" ALSO have LSF tags when they are not undercover.

It works both ways with player respect. More respect = more freedom. It is not an issue of metagaming either. Stop with the flinging catch-all-phrases around. Stop stereotyping eh? You can ALSO view having a tag as metagaming if you view it a certain way. Stereotyping does not help the issues.

The choice is up to the factions themselves, not public opinion. It's also up to various situations. To say everyone must where a tag at all times ignores many factors and OVER-simplifies roleplay. I totally disagree with forced tag wearing. It's similar to having to wear "IM A JEW" star in a Hilter Camporium. I call Godwin's Law - 34.
