Untagged Factions

Tags are there.. and not using them is fine for me if you don't want.

Sometimes its nice to have tag and sometimes you wish you haven't been found.. it all comes to that who found you. I still like wearing tag on all my chars.. You can't know what will happen each time you log in.. will someone look for you to kill you, to RP with you.. to attack you with giant fleet..

You should think about it.. even getting ganked is better then flying alone for hours and hours.

Without tag it's true you can choose.. hmph.. I am going to RP there with those guys.. later I can attack there. But sometimes its more interesting when someone finds you and wants to interact in one way.

Secret missions.. undercover. These days its easy to make account.. five char slots.. trading is easy.. one fighter with all equipment can be setup in 1h (not guard IDed) and there you have your undercover char without tag so you can fly with it on secret missions.. when you want to have simple patrol in your house or you are needed to assist with some threat you relog to your normal tagged char and do your job..

There are plenty of choices here.. in Keepers we can choose if we want char/s untagged or not. But I never fly alone and I am always in group with other Keepers.. so If someone wants to find me he will find me no matter If I have/haven't tag.


Char list.. If someone says that he/she never looked that list to find someone.. find someone of your own faction or other faction I won't believe it. It's considered metagaming but is it so bad?

Ofc, metagaming like civillian that knows about Atum.. or police pilot who knows all unlawful bases around.. some pirate that knows secret Military bases.. metagaming Wild. is bad.. or stuff like that is bad..

Using list, I look at It this way.. If you are going do have some quality interaction RP or defending your guard system , counting ships before some attack (think what would happen if you attack 10 ships with 30), finding friend, looking for your faction members, you need to talk with someone (RP or ooRP) , even bounty hunting ( wouldn't be possible other way) , pirating/trading (both sides use list to find/avoid each other - lets face it.. sitting on lane without knowing is anyone going to pass that way for hours is boring and everyone plays game for some fun) then it shouldn't be judged as metagaming..

What is left then? I wrote wall of text what is left.. but when it comes to numbers only two or three things I could think off.. I ask you others what you consider metagaming, bad part of it related to char list?
