Right. So I be done blowing some outcast ore thief out of the sky after he tried to rip off Kurt (damn, sniffer Prison Liners make a big orange cloud when they blow) and I spot a rather large Omicroner fleet trodding to Orkney. Curious, I followed (subsequently delayed by a few outcast rookies with heavy weapons - but a BHG cruiser spoiled their fun). Seems the Council lads be making some sort of heavy weapons purchase from the Zoners. Not sure what to make of this, if anything. It's odd to see Omicroners in the Taus. And for Council to be trying out Sirian tech on their warships, also odd. Didn't thought the tech was compatible. Anyway, I had a nice chat with the fellas afterwards, they want to talk to the Colonials too. Expect a few of them around Java from time to time. Riding out an ion storm on Reunion base now. They're good folk I think. Their wine definately is.

Mr. Alco, it is indeed unusual for Kusari forces to totally blockade the Leeds/Tau passage - usually they only scan for contraband goods. But if they have a large offensive going which they don't want the Bretonians to be forwarned about I can imagine they could temporarily close off that passage. It's a war out there, that we're inconvenienced from time to time is a given. If this happens, use either the Tau 31 to Edinburgh jumphole as an alternate, or the jumphole to Newcastle. Both of those are best done with narrow ships, large vessels like the Hegemon will get stuck in the icefields. If you feel the blockade to be unlawful, then file a complaint with the Kusari authorities, but I doubt you'll get very far with that.
