Today I would be going on patrol with the Vizeadmiral once again. Today was quite unique, there were no disturbances or would-be assailants that we could find after our entire search of the perimeter. We decided to set up and maintain an embargo watch to ensure no foolish traders would dare break the Rheinland blockade.
Several of our secondary fleet showed up and we were graced with a visit from the most excellent Major Rall. I asked if he would be kind enough to join in a training regiment of my hosting and graciously, he agreed. I gathered up our primary and secondary forces for a bit of training in Braunschweig. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay very long. I was quite backlogged on my paperwork and my attention was required aboard the Moselle.
I was able to jump back in for a moment to observe the the Fliegers at work and I must say, I'm impressed with our new up-and-coming pilots. Spiegelstern shows a high degree of aptitude for fighting, but his hostile negotiations could use some work. I'm attempting to work that into any training I impart upon our new soldiers. Being able to speak is just as important as being able to shoot. The day before yesterday I had met Herr Spiegelstern and began training him somewhat. I think he's got the right stuff, he just needs a bit of polishing.
