I dun like indies for two separate reasons. The first is practical - I believe in cooperating swarms and those are NOT possible to pull off without A- numbers obtainable by acting like a press gang and B- putting those you find in a skype channel so they get to know each-other and start working together on a regular basis. Result is steady numbers that more often than not obey you and therefore can compete with the overpowered equipment, people and RP you'll eventually end up facing.
The second one is a bit less practical. The folks who come over to play around aren't in all cases literate, easy-going, intelligent adults. Now we can accept it, because it's a free-to-play mod without much in the way of access limitations. Fine by server admins, fine by hosts, fine by devs, NOT fine by factionalized players who prefer to pick who wears their colors instead of completely random nobodies making characters pretending to be superawesome admirals of whole imaginary navies, dictating what's right (and which factions must obey or else) as-written-in-some-obscure-textwall-and-approved-by-[censored for the sake of not getting admin-nuked]-admins.
And the good indie people, those just wanting to play around, behaving responsibly without the need for some nazi chain of command, end up more or less knowingly protecting those complete twats, trolls, RUS))) and just-turned-teens just by BEING in the same classification.
