It's full of stupid. Way more stupid than any6where else in sirius. So just forget it exists and go somewhere else. The first step to sorting it out there, is simply having less people in the system. Perhaps tell a load of the miners how to mine in the omegas.
Attempting to base any diplomatic relations on events which happen in an environment where every other word in system chat is a miner going "FU ****! Y U SHOOT ME ?" and the pirates replying in <no speak english, 2milordaiplz>, hardly seems like a wise idea.
I can only speak for IMG. We tried the Taus. Outcasts keep swarming us, with fighter swarms and capital fleets (not usually together though), it wasn't fun to mine there anymore. We migrate to Dublin, and... presto, now all of a sudden the hustle and bustle is there. For IMG, the Omegas are the least attractive option. IMG has relatively poor mining bonuses on the commodities you can mine there: Silver x2, Cobalt x2 and Copper x2 (versus Silver x4, Cobalt x3 and Copper x3 for Kruger). If IMG could get on-par with at least one of those commodities it'd make going to the Omega's more attractive. Personally I'd like Silver set to x3 (still below Kruger, but enough to compete). I'd also move to set the Beryllium bonus to x2.5. It doesn't make sense to me that the CR, BMM, GMS all receive x3 when IMG, who owns a large Beryllium mining operation in Cambridge, gets a much weaker bonus.
Basically: Give us viable options to choose from, and we'll be flexible. Right now, Dublin and Tauside are the most effective mining areas.
' Wrote:Shame there are so few BMM-IMG conflicts. It'd be fun to have more. Without the direct hostilities, of course, as it's against the ID. Destroying the ore, inviting pirates and pointing them at BMM - that sounds nice.
You caused IMG enough headaches by openly pirating in the Omegas - please, no repeats of that in Dublin, mkay?;).
