' Wrote:See. Absolutley no reason to use Smuggler ID. You will get FR5'd. 1st time you are seen with ID they tag you as a smuggler, and every police/military faction will watch chat, and look for you when ever your in system. Just to scan you,and catch you.
Yet all the embargo runners(which is smuggling) never get FR5'd,or punished. I have sent dozens to lawful's. They are not even put on to watch list.
This is why no one will stop for a lawful to scan them when smuggling. 1 time your caught? FR5. You run,and dock with out scan? NP they cannot do crap all.
So all those who yell bad RP not stopping for scan can just bite me. Blame the lawfuls with the rapid fire FR5 button, not the traders/junkers/smugglers.
I'm done. Going in game to kill every lawful trader i see breaking Imbargo's now.
Please dont bring your FR5 rant into this thread, if your angry about embargo runners not getting FR5d, file a report on them from your LSF bomber.
This is about the profit of trading vs smuggling/embargo running. (note that running "lawful" cargo past "unlawful" players e.g. bmm gold running past mollys is not considered smuggling for these purposes)
It seems most people agree that due to the increased dangers and hazards of smuggling e.g. geting the RP punishment of getting FR5d, or the increased time of having to avoid lanes; smuggling should pay more.
However there is little to no actual increase in profit from smuggling, I'm not saying smuggling isn't profitable, just that it is not noticeably more profitable, and sometimes less, than trading, and I believe this should change.
It has been said that ore running is more dangerous than smuggling, which is true, in that case; more risk = more reward, I'd like this to be true for smuggling too, when compared to trading.
And as I said, I believe that due to the laws of supply and demand, ore should sell for MOST (there should be other, safer, cheaper routes for the law abiding) in the Houses at war with the suppliers.
