Sure, I can explain that. Basically, if you visit the thread offering the Daumann contract, it has been transmitted sirius wide. The assumption must then be that that channel is available publicly to anyone who would stumble upon it. I have posted a message dump post regarding this.
Now if Daumann contacted you and other companies privately about this, it would indeed not be possible for us to know about this unless perhaps some Daumann or OSI spilled his tongue. However all Daumann responses in that thread were specifically destined as Sirius wide so we can only assume the whole channel was made public.
