There was a talk about Trade Lane parts reverse-engineering on Discord, disco-admin came in and said it's not possible because it's unhackable and has self-destruction mechanism, apparently. Therefore i asked about why do we have Nomad cloaks/guns/powercells replicas. The answer was that you can grow them in lab.
Well, if we can grow a snub weaponry, why don't we grow BS guns and after some time an entire Ish'Tar? Because it would be stopped until someone tickles the right parts, i guess. So, Nomad technology which is far more advanced than human's, literally by millions of years (Daam'K'Vosh) can be reverse-engineered but not trade-lane-parts which were made by humans.

Later someone mentioned Gallia, Oh yes! So where does Gallia have trade-lane parts from? EFL, and EFL? Supposedly retconning Junkers stealing it from Valhalla 1.
"the physics involved are so Alien you need Daam K'Vosh tech to make it work." - But we can make Nomad things work, so what's the problem? Let's grow Sascyas and mass-produce trade lane parts then.

Devs probably have a reason for this, but you can't deny the loop we got ourselves into.
I'd even give you link to the entire chat-log, but that guy didn't refrain from swearing.
I'm not a Disco knowledge god, and there're certainly people who know much more. But i'd like people who actually know something to explain and clarify what is actually going on. Anything of value is appreciated ^^. Please, keep it civil. If you're here just to post something not of any value to the topic, just leave.
