I've noticed all the diamond shipments have been going to The Ring, and none to Narita, and I think that it's because the price at The Ring is 1/2 that of Narita's but the traveling time is more then double. If that makes sense.
Could the price for Uncut Diamonds at Narita be poked up a step or two to 11.5k a piece?

IFF: Daumann
Field: Omega 7 south cobalt field.
Results after 10 minutes of mining: ~750
Thoughts: A touch low, considering my miner ID'd Baltsat in the North Cobalt Field got around 800/10min. Drops were in the 1-6 per rock range.
I don't know if this is the right thread to post in, but I think it's better than creating a new one.
I want to bring up a concern, regarding some logical part of the mining system and not the yield. Today I was reading through the new mining system Q&A, especially the part which describes ALG's buffs and locations. Now I am asking you: why does scrap metal sell THAT high in Vierlande?
Which reasons should ALG Waste Disposal have to mine scrap now? Vierlande isn't at some remote location, but near Dortmund, our central smelter. What is the reason to increase the scrap price in the prison? Our economical base is destroyed with such a step. The Rheinland Police is now abled (inRP) to sell basic alloys much easier then ALG, which is economical nonsense. Why should ALG help the government to make better prices on a product we sell?

Field: New London Scrap Field, right next to the Leeds Jumphole
Results after 10 minutes of mining: No idea. I had a full hold after about 7 minutes. Extrapolating based on what I did mine, though, puts it at about 4785 units after ten minutes.
Thoughts: The mining rates are excellent, in my opinion. Scrap is faster to mine than any other commodity, but you don't get as much profit off of it. Before today's scrap nerf, this would net me 10, 720,000 credits at Invergordon, after a flight of 9 minutes, thirty seconds. Now, it sells for a total of 5,025,000 credits.

Mining of Artefacts in the Edge Nebula has so far been ignored. It's unreasonable for a miner to be expected to mine artefacts and then smuggle them themselves into Liberty etc.
IMO, price of artefacts at ALL bases needs to be increased by around 2000 credits per unit. (whichever figure works out to make Artefact mining appropriately profitable). This would make the mining profitable, because you can sell a hold full of Artefacts at Crete and STILL make a decent ammount of cash...and it would make smuggling more risky; because more of your money is tied up in the cargo, so you have more to loose.
Arguably, for balance' sake, this should also be done to Cardimine and other contraband commodities.
FOr example, Liquid cardimine mining in some remote nomad infested hellhole?
Anyway, yes, make a "mined artifact" commod or something for the Sairs and OC to mine.
Can anyone share where I can find some Cardi to mine? The kids in New York are screaming for some, digging through my pockets, etc. I don't know who got them hooked on it, but you know.. better answer the need I suppose. :-)
Given that the nebulae that one mines artifacts from appear to be fragments of a Nomad Lair, the "Artifact Ore" commodity could be "Nomad Rubble" or some other such nonsense.
But yes, I'd agree that the Artifacts and Alien Organisms need to be taken care of at some point, and Carlos' idea is a sound one.
