When faced with the possibility of having to establish a legal system for Bretonia, in order to allow for criminal and civil proceedings to occour, it was deemed too time consuming for the Admiralty to deal with.
We have zero desire to mediate a dispute in this fashion, the none of us have the time to do so. This meant, upon agreement, that Summary Justice will be the only in game method of justice in Bretonia. (This is not done to stifle RP, but to avoid undue and unneeded paperwork.)
Since you are attempting to try a BAF officer, in a civil court situation. As Dab has stated, the Admiralty has the right to shut it down.
Do you know that there is a real life law preventing anyone from suing military forces in a time of war?
Well consider this law in effect for Bretonia. It will be entered into the Bretonian legal codex as soon as possible, to prevent this from being an issue in the future.
Quote:Assisting Hostile Forces
Assisting any enemies of Bretonia, either through direct hostile action or trading with their bases, will result in a fine of 2 million credits.
That caught my eye.
So, if the fine for the offense Dakun thought about committing is given a 2 million credit fine. So where did arrest warrants and demanding that he be removed as administrator come from? That seems to be much more than 2 million credits worth of fine.

Because that one offense was accompanied by further offenses. Offenses that were made via his position as administrator, so his no longer being administrator is the easiest way to cease that negative activity. That activity that was threatening Freeport 1, instigating conflict in Omega-3 and at FP1, and tying BAF forces up trying to deal with it.

But that's not what your laws state, they state that the offense he is accused of is worth a two million credit fine. Mind you, he never even committed the offense in question, but hey, why get caught up in the facts?
And what other offenses has he committed as administrator of FP1? Where has he violated Bretonian law?

1.) Order a commodity from a revolutionary/pirate organization, thereby supporting a hostile of Bretonia.
2.) Inciting Conflict around FP1, of which BAF shares security duties with the Zoners.
3.) Refusal to desist when told to by law enforcement personnel.
4.) Offering money to create a violent action towards uninvolved parties.
5.) Instigating a political conflict around Omega-3 and Freeport 1 involving the Zoners, Rheinland, and Bretonia through deliberate actions.
I'm sorry you don't think all of this together justifies an arrest warrant Zelot.
I, however, disagree with you.

Lets see, so you have #1, which Dakun stopped when told by law enforcement that it was against the law.
And 2-5 which all seem to be the same offense just worded different ways.
As it stands though, I dont see any of those listed as violations of Bretonian law aside from #1 (although I can make a great case for it to be thrown out, hmm, wonder if Dakun needs another defense attorney). If you want to make up the law as you go along, fine by me, but lets call a spade a spade.

You won't see "Shooting a civilian" as listed against the law for most houses in this game. This is because we operate on the laws of the countries our houses are based on. For Bretonia, that means the United Kingdom. We also tend to use common sense, where dead civilians is a bad thing.

So what you are saying is you can make up the law as you go along. See something you don't like, just say it's against the law and arrest the person. Hey why not?

I've seen your lovely Kusari do it. Its okay for your bunch to do it but not another right? I believe it was regarding the fines you issue. They were set and someone was over fined, in response to their whining the Codex was changed so that the officer on duty can determine the amount of the fine. Which isn't un reasonable, but something was done outside of your Codex and changed to suit the KNF.
