Guys, you need to stop arguing and applying crap that has nothing to do with the situation(s) at hand, to the situation(s).
Regardless, it seems like they get the idea, and yet are trying to use every RP method they can think of to keep the ships they have. I REALLY think we need to lock this... or if not that, put it in flood, because I get the feeling that some people are only posting here to raise their postcount, which is really sad...
While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack http://pastebin.com/SYQXBufs

Yes I know, i have not said "The rules" and "RP" yet, so you must be thinking I am another noob tring do my own thing in here. You would be very, very wrong.
Have fun again, please. Be flexable, because without screen shots anymore, RP will soon enough, be all but dead and there is little we can do about it. ((just in case)without SS, it's hard to report RP violators)

[color=#FF0000]A Brief History of Cardamine
Quote:The crippled sleeper ship Hispania arrived in Omicron Alpha almost 800 years ago. Its passengers named the planet Malta -- a harsh place of acidic oceans, gray skies, and vast plains covered in a species of tall, thin, orange grass. They later learned that the grass could be rendered into a narcotic substance, that they called Cardamine.
Eventually the Outcasts -- as they came to think of themselves -- began limited exploration of their system. As pilots wandered farther and farther afield in search of resources, many became seriously ill. Upon planetfall, the crews mysteriously recovered.
Doctors were baffled. By chance, they made a genetic scan of a critically ill pilot and made a startling discovery. His genetic codes had been altered. Outcast DNA contained strands identical to that of the orange grasses that covered the planet -- from which Cardamine was derived. Trace amounts were present in everything on the planet, from the air they breathed to the water they drank. Once pilots made lengthier journeys away from Malta, their bodies went into shock, followed by death.
The Outcasts were now truly separated from the rest of humanity -- changed so that they could never expand beyond the planet on which they had landed. They needed the Cardamine now, like air or food or water. But with the origin of the sickness solved, they could at least compensate by carrying supplies of Cardamine with them and resume their exploration of their surrounding systems.
When they encountered the rest of the Houses in the seventh century, a new strategy emerged. The Outcasts would deliver the poison that would rot the other Houses from the inside out and grow rich from the profits of their trade.
Today the Outcasts conduct a lucrative drug-smuggling operation using the network of Jump Holes to escape detection and transport their product into the heart of the House systems. The Outcasts remain relatively few in number; a crash in the birth rate seems to have been another side effect of their genetic modification.
A new development has been Cryer’s continued efforts to create a synthetic version of Cardamine that would be approved as a legal medication within Liberty. This poses a direct threat to the Outcasts' source of income. The Atka Research Station, with nearby access to Edge Nebula clouds, is the most immediate threat to the Outcasts. The location of the base within Corsair territory has brought the Outcasts into conflict with their ancient brethren.
[color=#FF0000]Our Mission [font=monotype corsiva][color=#FF9900]We, the Hundred and First Outcast Guard, pledge our blood to defend the orange grasses of Malta and the air our children breathe. We are the ramparts upon which the hordes will fling themselves and die; we are the shield and the breastplate that protects the true Children of Hispania. We are the sword and the spear upon which our foes, the fallen children of Crete and those who cannot embrace the Orange Light, shall draw their last breaths as they slide through their hearts.

[color=#FF9900][font=Monotype Corsiva]We are not human because we had been given a gift and can see further into truth than any man. Human beings are infants dabbling in the loam of an expansive ocean that stretches beyond the horizon.
The Cardamine has let us see this.
We operate on a higher order of being. Many wonder why we take life so easily. It is because life is just a dream of what it really is. What human beings cherish is an illusion;
there is no such thing as death, only change.

Here's the five paragraphs I have on A51. That and their four Rheinland Battleships (which, if they had a decent amount of capwhoring sense, they'd stick to their own Battleship, which is infinetrly more agile and has comparable forward firepower).
Quote:So what do you do when the war is over? What do you do with all the soldiers that have seen too many of their friends die? What do you do with those that have a highly developed skill for battle, but whose heads are just not in a good place? You can't just turn them lose on civilized society. They would be a danger to those in "normal" society. You might think of killing them off as a danger to the society they burned their minds and souls to protect. But then again, you might need them some day. There will always be another enemy. There will always be another war.
As with most things the solution was simple once it was thought of. Take all the insane yet functional fighters that could be found, form them into a task force and dump them on the Bounty Hunters. They are separated from the "normal" populace. They get to pursue the one skill they have, and perhaps they can even make the systems safer. If the price is right.
And So the Asylum 51 was born. A group of crazy, burnt out ex-military and mercs turned Bounty Hunters.
Commanding Officer: A51 Kane (Kanetic in game to differentiate from the all powerful Admin Kane)

We will mostly be found in and around the Sigmas and Omegas, as we have found these systems to have acceptable levels of the base chemical needed for the production of our much needed purple pills.
The purple pills are a very potent anti-psychotic and the only thing that allows us to maintain some semblance of acceptable social interaction. The side effects are numerous and you may notice odd and nonsensical diatribes being periodically expunged from time to time in system chat.
I am the fourth leader of the 101st, formerly known as the GoR, which is over two years old. I don't know how long the Rheinland Military has been around, but it's probably longer than the 101st. We built this community. The Phantoms, the AW, the SDF, the KNF, the BD, the Helghast, and whichever ones I can't think of at the moment, we built this place. We developed the Roleplay, we developed the rules, and we developed the community. So now we should let a group who haven't been on the server two months change the face of that wonderful thing we've created? I am...not partial to that plan.
EDIT: Oh, and if you can't have fun within common sense then maybe you need to find out how, or find a different server who you don't have to make massive threads to redefine common sense for.

ok so let have all fun,all jump into battleships,(preferable faction battleships) and we go invade each other. maybe then some people open eyes and see that is not fun. oso you say when you dont like them,dont play with them,one question, when they invade alpha,and you are online in your RoS fighter, and they come with all that battlecruiser,you cut all your activity in alpha, log off and go play something other?
and rath, playing for duty? or fun? biggest fun on this server is roleplay. that is not about who has bigger guns adn who kill more enemies. and majority of this community has fun from rolepaly,not rfom pvp and cap whoring...
Sorry to say, Eppy, age has nothng to do with this, however the established RP does. No matter how it was established or by whom. The fact remains that if they had chosen to create something unique and original and to take in feedback from the community then we would not be having this problem. However so far the A51 have practically laughed at any attempt to integrate with the established RP and simply tell us that we should accept the way they play. I am afraid that this is not possible given that you are not just one player with a battleship, you are many players.
Oso: It seems like you are saying that the established players should ignore these new players, how exactly? Epyon, Praetyre and myself all run unlawful factions, there is going to come a time when they will want to interact with us, should we turn tail and run? Or should we fight? The LR has exactly two capital ships. Mine and Niezck's and they are used so rarely they barely avoid the player wipe. I have no idea how many capships Das Wilde have, although I'm fairly certain the faction proposal was quite limiting with them and the 101st are Malta's defense force. I know that each member must maintain a fighter, so when hunting these three factions they will encounter primarily fighter class vessels, how does that correspond to a fleet of capships? It's going to mean that these factions have to run from every encounter if we wish to not interact with these folks. More importantly I do wish to interact with these folks, with the exception of this thread their members have so far been very active on this forum and mostly insightful. "Why?" especially has added much to discussions in the last month or so. These are people that can be valued members of this community, should they choose to be so. However in game > forum as mwerte is so fond of saying and I would dearly love to say that they have chosen to listen to the majority of this community and take on board the advice and criticism.
Honestly, Asylum 51, these people are trying to intergrate you into our world, we would love to have you, genuinely we would. But your actions so far have been against the grain, this hasn't gone down that well. (Understatement courtesy of the British Empire ).
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
That's what I meant, Del. I was saying we wrote the Roleplay, not them, and that they have no right to tell us to change. You have probably illustrated my point far well than I did, in fact, kudos.

Heh, you have yet to prove it really, as it's all I'm and quite a few others that are posting here are seeing. I think Eppy's and Del's post kinda says it all...

Swing and a miss,
I don't fly cap ships, love 99% of the rules, hate PvP.
Though the conventions are changing, and often in flux, that does not mean that anyone has any right to flout the ones we currently have, and the majority apparently like and enjoy. The Play and Let Play approach works, to a point. But understand, that as faction leaders, many of us are expected to keep things sane in our space. We're not server police, but we are expected to show people how to behave, just like parents of children, or the big kids of a neighborhood. It is elitist. Communities have to be elitist, they have to have hierarchies, people don't know how to operate otherwise. And this isn't some massive company's MMO either, its a small group where everyone really does interact with most everyone else, nor is it halo, where every possible action is quite all right, the game is much more complex than that. More like chess, where each piece has certain possible rules, and then you're playing with your little sister, so you have to be nice. Thats what the community means. Its more about interacting with your little sister than actually playing the game.
