Doodly doo hoss, how are my fellow Popes? Well I jus' got this transmission an' figured I would fill ya' in on where I've been. Well as ya' can tell by the picture I took gents I have been out helpin' out in Gran Canaria. Ya see I was contacted by a fellow Zoner while on one a' my normal visits to Bethelehem station to speak to the residents an' see if they needed anything. He jus' got off the boat so ta' speak and I engaged him in nice conversation for quite a while an' he told me about an issue he an' many faced on Gran Canaria.
Well it seems they have been havin' issues with power generators in some of the undeveloped areas. So after speakin' with him a while I decided its bout' time I returned to my ol' job and transport some raw nuclear devices ta' be processed an' further aid the development on Gran Canaria. So far it has gone well, gotta' help a gentlemen the other day who had a rupture in his fuel tank and was outta' H-fuel. I have also gotta' speak of Eris to many a' Corsairs on ma' journeys many are very receptive.
I'll be back in contact soon popes but as for now I leave ya wit' these words
"Never judge a man till you have walked a mile in his shoes, 'cuz by then, he's a mile away, you've got his shoes, and you can say whatever the hell you want to."

Good evening my good sirs.
I joined today Linus Koios for some trading runs. We started by providing some goods to our Corsair friends. Linus shipped Food rations to Crete then i shipped plutonium to Battleship Fes.
We then decided to provide some supplies to our Order allies. We shipped many Deuterium to them. It seems the war between Bounty Hunters and Order pilots is still as brutal, as we saw a big fight between them in Delta. But they were far from our Freeport, so everything is fine.
When we crossed back O74, i proposed a Trading Consortium pilot to have some drink with me and he gently accepted :
Quote:[TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Hello again friend
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Hoay again!
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Good to see you again in one piece! [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: So you don't want to drink my gallic wine eh? [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: A shame
[TAZ]Loose.Ends: Pity. A bit weak, but good stuff!
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Who doesn't? [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Well what about taking a break at FPXV then, if you're not on duty?
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Well...
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I can drink and make my duty... [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Now you're talking! [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Let's meet inside the bar then
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Well, the last one pays [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Sure
(]c[)Johann.Boll: *laughs*
Linus is not much a drinking person, so he visited Livadia shipyard while we were having some fun.
I must say Johann is a nice fellow, and we had lots of fun while drinking. We talked about many things i cannot ennumerate there, partly because i won't remember, since i ended totally drunk :
Quote:[TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Well. I should stop to drink. I will not be able to fly if i keep going!
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Alright, but i enjoyed it a lot!
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Thanks for the wine my friend [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: *tries to get up but fails* errh well i will stay here a little bit [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: It was a pleasure
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Enjoy your staying at XV [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Cheers
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Bye [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Thanks for the beers
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Nah, you are more than welcome [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: *asks his crew to come help him to get in the ship* [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Come here you silly boys!
(]c[)Johann.Boll: That's an interesting view
(]c[)Johann.Boll: *laughs*
Although, he asked two interesting things.
Quote:(]c[)Johann.Boll: i heared there are zoner pirates in the indipendent worlds? [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Hmm. that is weird [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Is it a rumor
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Indeed, that's why i ask [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Well i never faced one [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: but who knows
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Thought you know, cause baffin is closer [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Sirius goes crazy sometimes, i'm sure you noticed [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Well [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: We have some problems with pirates
(]c[)Johann.Boll: indeed, i love the quiet omicrons [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: but i haven't heard something about zoner pirates
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Well, why not. As long as they respect our laws and cause no trouble
(]c[)Johann.Boll: *laughs* [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: I guess the Episkopos prime would quickly make a bounty on their hear [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: head *
(]c[)Johann.Boll: or lets say, no bad trouble [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: he doesn't appreciate much wrong behavior
(]c[)Johann.Boll: zoners bounty zoners?
(]c[)Johann.Boll: i think that would be unique as well, eh? [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Mandalorians actually [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: But in the end you're right [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Since the bounty comes from zoners [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: But i think it could become if people of our kind started to endanger our neutrality so brutally
(]c[)Johann.Boll: as long as they dont cause trouble i am fine [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: How could others faction respect us if we start to pirate them
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I can't say a lot my friend. i don't know the other point of view [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Which one?
(]c[)Johann.Boll: the pirate guys
(]c[)Johann.Boll: at least we are all zoner for some reason [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Well. We would have first to know if such people exist [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: To confront their point of view
(]c[)Johann.Boll: So they aren't inportant enough for an investigation at the moment? [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Well, There is others people who leave the houses [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: They end up pirates, smugglers, etc. But i can't say they are like us
(]c[)Johann.Boll: To be honest...
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I feel al ittle criminal [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Hmm. Well if the Erisian church received reports about such people
(]c[)Johann.Boll: since the houses banned us guards [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: We would have to investigate, that's for sure
Does any pope have informations about those pirate zoners? I'm quite curious about this subject. And i fear if such rumors were true, it could lead to real problems concerning our negociation power with the factions we meet every day.
Secondly :
Quote:[TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: And about ZOE... i have little contacts with them [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: But i think they are quite active nowadays
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I know, thats why i said i feel like
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I hope they are not going to be too active
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I heared they are entering some hot spots soon
(]c[)Johann.Boll: and take massive fleets with them [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Erk. Could be a pain, yes
(]c[)Johann.Boll: This could easyly eand up worse than zoner pirates, don't you think? [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: Hmm, i'm not sure [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: They are miner after all, and would only attack in self defence [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: at least i hope that
(]c[)Johann.Boll: You know how the people are [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: I for once know their new security chief
(]c[)Johann.Boll: everybody will go to protect his incomes [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: It's not someone willing to wage war or piss of people
(]c[)Johann.Boll: That sounds good
(]c[)Johann.Boll: so you say at least he is trustworthy [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: But well [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: You're true [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: I could result in some inconvenient situations [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: if they push too far
(]c[)Johann.Boll: Don't get me wrong
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I do not intent to work against our miner friends
(]c[)Johann.Boll: I am just worrying the mess they could create [TAZ]Tau.Ceti.Central: I know, i know my friend, you're concerned about possible repercussions
Mr. Holiday, i think this point would need to be investigated. I doubt Zoner Ore Extraction members could endanger zoners relations with Sirius factions, though it could end in some irritating tensions.
I'm now taking a break at shasta, enjoying the view of the goddess, stimulating my pineal and why not, having some more gallic wine drinks.

Hoo! What a day. Started off with bit of a trip with Gabe - he on the Tau Ceti Central, and my crew an' I on the Loose Ends - all over the "souteastern" part of Sirius. Snagged some food rations on Canaria for Crete, took deut to the Order, then grabbed some oxygen for Freeport 11. Got iridium there - I forget who for - and wound up talkin' with some Consortium guy in Omicron-74. Gabe landed on XV for a drink while I took the Loose Ends to the nearby yard to fix what Graham broke...engines were makin' funny noises through the whole trip.
* * * * *
The crew an' I took a shuttle home, leavin' my baby in the hands of the yard dogs in -74. After a quick lunch, we got a call from Jack Crews from his escape pod. Seems a coupla ne'er-do-wells in Moldy Crows callin' themselves "Beggarz" took it upon themselves to try an' pirate Mr. Crews' Starflyer shuttle in Coronado just outside the Baffin hole, which he was flyin' to Baffin to inspect the Conference that'd been built for him.
I say "try" 'cuz the Rev couldn't give 'em his money; then he wouldn't be able to pay fer his new baby. So their "Please sir, we haven't got any bread" and "Look at these rags I'm wearin'" turned into "Then die!" So they blew 'im up in a not at all polite way. Responding to the call was my crew an' I on the Conference-class Anargyros, Mad John in his Hathor Zen Clipper, an' Frater Beth in his GMG bomber Templar Beth.
We joined up in Baffin - 'cept Mad John, he caught up to us later - an' went out to express our intense displeasure with these gentleman in the form of plasma bolts an' SNACs. They'd gone from Coronado to Cortez, so we did, too. We waited up a bit for the Zen Clipper at Curacao, an' when he was in scanner range, went to check the lanes to the Cali gate. Sure enough, there they were, mixin' it up with a rogue bomber named Chris Black.
After snatchin' Jack's escape pod, Frater an' I reminded the "Beggarz" they weren't very polite fellas, an' they didn't allow as to how this was so. Instead...Here's the funny part. They tried to pirate my gunboat! Used the same spiel they did on the Rev, too. Now, we didn't take none too kindly to that, and a few quick salvoes from the Beth an' I heaved one of 'em over the proverbial gunwales. (Guncam Shot 1)
Bein' a sportin' fella, my crew an' I backed off when Mad John's Hathor and "Ticked Phoenix" - an Eagle - arrived. Our gunnies watched the fray - the other beggar managed to take out the rogue, then tried to run...I said we might oughtta let 'im go, y'know...change his britches, carry his pal's pod back to whatever hole they crawled out of. The Beth and the Phoenix had other ideas. They stopped 'im, an' finished him off. (Guncam Shot 2)
We reminded their escape pods it was right unsportsmanlike to pirate a man's shuttle, especially when it was clearly marked TAZ. Hopin' they'll remember the lesson, an' spin their story to some other folks next time.

Quite a trip, quite a trip. I really gotta get me a fighter - I love the Anar and my crew, but I felt a little silly escortin' Captain Stella on her Consul gunboat with my own gunboat. And fighters're fun! Anyhow, our wee flotilla was:
My crew and I, Conference-class [TAZ]Anargyros
Captain Stella, Conference-class [TAZ]Consul.de.Baffin
Jack Crews, Conference-class [TAZ]Eris'.Lamina
Mad John, BWT-class [TAZ]Law_Of_Fives
Xavier Triton, Eagle-class [TAZ]Ticked.Phoenix
A bit top-heavy, but it's what we had available. Anyhow, we all met up over the Freeport in Tau-29, then went on to -23. Met up with a Colonial named Kaze there - who, at my question, told me the java on Java's great - an' continued on to Tau-37. We took a short breather at the Freeport, met an Outcast battleship, an' continued on to Alpha. Met some very curious XTF types, who sent a Sabre to check us out. Dunno if they really believed that we were on a diplomatic mission with all that firepower, but they let us keep goin' on to Omicron-80.
That's where it was supposed to get fun - nothin' gets the blood movin' quite like zippin' through the mines at top speed! - but it took me a coupla minutes to find the passage. Got a bit lost on the other side tryin' to find the startin' hole, but made it out in one piece. LCOG's finest were busy an' couldn't meet us, so they sent a few lower-ranked pilots just in case. Guessin' they were doin' a pretty good job keepin' the GRN busy, 'cuz we didn't run into a single enemy patrol. The way was clear all the way to Marne in Champagne.
We parked our Sirian booties by the station in orbit, waiting for the nice LCOG folks to complete their previous engagements. A Council battleship patrol came by, but no LCOG.
Finally, we got word they weren't gonna be able to make it anytime soon, an' with that, clearance to moor.
We all hooked up to the mooring fixture, an' piled into the Consul de Baffin. Bit of a tight fit, but we got in, an' came in for a landing on the pad. Hopin' we'll get to meet our gracious hosts soon.
By the by, gotta thank Xavier for turnin' our raw guncam shots into these beauties.
We spent today standing guard over Freeport 10. For the most part, it was a fairly quiet day. Plenty of traffic, but nobody causing any real trouble, which is of course how it should be. There were only two events of note.
First, a water collector for the Freeport named Omar.Little went about his trade within the No-Fire Zone. When I told him to move outside the NFZ before shooting rocks, he seemed surprise, and regarded this as a change of protocol. While I understand that he was no threat to anyone, the law on the issue is quite clear, and it is in place for the saftey of the Freeport and those who travel there. When I made it clear to him that I would not grant an exception, he complied and moved outside of the NFZ. I received no further trouble from him.
The second event was a Junker freighter named Auntie.Em's-Pulp-Liner. It undocked from the freeport, and loitered within the No-Fire Zone. When I informed him that he needed to dock or move on, he became rather... rude. I will post the log here. The log has been edited to remove unrelated material.
IKS bortaS communications log Wrote:[27.03.2010 14:29:48] [TAZ]IKS-bortaS: You may not loiter in the NFZ. Dock or move on.
[27.03.2010 14:30:18] Auntie.Em's-Pulp-Liner: Does this apply to anyone?
[27.03.2010 14:30:38] [TAZ]IKS-bortaS: It applies to everyone. No loitering is one of the rules.
[27.03.2010 14:30:51] Auntie.Em's-Pulp-Liner: Then why are you doing it yourself?
[27.03.2010 14:31:10] [TAZ]IKS-bortaS: My job is to enforce the Freeport's laws. That is not loitering.
[27.03.2010 14:31:32] Auntie.Em's-Pulp-Liner: No. That is loitering at the second level.
[27.03.2010 14:32:04] Auntie.Em's-Pulp-Liner: Upsie!
At the end, where he said "Upsie!" he had rammed my ship, causing it to spin out of control for a moment, at which point he activated his cruise engines and ran away like an injured targ. He is a fool, and will someday die like a fool.
Besides that, nothing else of note occured. Vessels belonging to the Colonial Remnant, the Independent Miners Guild, the Outcasts, and the Societe Militaire Privee all visited the station, but they all complied with all Freeport regulations.
Pope Linus, Deputy Ambassador Triton, Commander Kaiev,
I hereby award you all the Church's "Order of Sparkle Plenty", with sprinkles and extra outfits, for meritorious reporting above and beyond the call of Eris:
Captain Stella Maris, congratulations on a successful journey to our new "Enclave" on Planet Marne.
I noticed that Deputy Triton's personal fighter accompanied you; so please fly his flag until Ambassador Holliday can arrive to inspect our new Consulate vessel. I'm sure Doc will wish to arrange and conduct the Official Ceremonies with the LCOG in person, as he was instrumental in obtaining our new Temporary Autonomous Zone in Gallia.
We will begin recruitment immediately for a permanent TAZ "Honor Guard" up there. Fighter and bomber pilots should suffice.
Bon chance, Captain Maris. Keep those Diplomats and residents of our new "camp" safe.

Today, I am honored to wear the TAZ badge. I see everyone pulling together to make things even stronger between us and the LCOG. As I am in the Stuttgart system right now after a delivery of Halo Tainment Bands, I am going through some files and reports planetside. Great work getting the Consul.de.Baffin commissioned and keeping the trade flowing. We are still deciding what to name our new land on Marne that we have been given and I'll be keeping you all up to date on it.
Commander Kaiev, if you have any troubles with Junkers in the NFZ, let me know, especially anyone tagged for the Junker Congress. I have a direct line to Arbiter Jack Crow's office as he and I have done some work together. Most are reasonable so I don't want a few bad apples who can't use their pineals correctly to ruin things.
I will be up and running soon.

Deliveries were made today for the Corsair Nation, transmission was sent to the correct channel.
Other than that it was a quiet day in space with little to report.
