Not all of us have the entire map of sirius memorized. New people, like myself, have to actually explore things to find out what's where.
I didn't even know you could get anywhere going through Alaska, even though I've been there several times now. Heck, I don't even know another way to get to Alpha from omicron delta without going through either Omicron 100 or the long route from Omega 41. And since I'm not logged in with a ship that has that section mapped right now, I could even be wrong about that.
Not all of those are guard systems. However, most of those are pretty much deemed off limits by the factions that inhabit them. If you want to try to get through by them, go ahead... but without proper ID, expect to be destroyed. Also, why would you want to get from Delta to Alpha and vice-versa? Unless you're a Corsair heading to attack Outcasts, or the contrary, and even then, you should take the long way. Like I said before, if you try to go through there, you will probably die if you do not have a very good reason.
THEY TOLD ME I COULD BE ANYTHING SO I BECAME A SIGNATURE PLS HLP
I said it at the start, i'll say it again here....

Sure, you can be within RP rights all you like, i didnt bother reading all the rules lawyering that no doubt went on in the last 12 pages. It's probably true that no rules were broken, but who cares, its a complete moot point - the guy was LEVEL 26 - chances are he was a new player who hardly had a clue what he was doing anyway... these players come onto the server, do what they do, find the fastest way around to the places they want, buy their ship... do whatever the heck they do and then how many of them last in game longer than a month anyway?
Personally, gaurd system or not, i never engage, fire a CD at, blah blah blah anyone who isnt over level 40, i never really speak to them unless they are making an attempt to RP with me, or answer a simple greeting.
Instead of 12 pages of forum spam - when the guy initially contacted you with his pedantic whiny rules lawyering you could have just ignored him, or made some RP comments about what the Order would do with his mother....
@ HellFire0: If Alaska were LSF Guard and Virginia were Liberty Navy Guard ... WHO would have ZoI of New York, Texas, California and Colorado? Guard systems should be the only systems where a faction can dictate role play. Outside the guard systems everybody should play according to the established Freelancer role play ... which means no merc bans. But admins will need to make the final decision on this. I for one am tired of the major factions and their indies dictating role play for those not who are not privileged to be on their favorites list.
@ DevalinBowman: Not all those systems are guard systems. That's part of the problem. People are confusing guard systems with ZoI. The term "ZoI" or "Zone of Influence" is not mentioned anywhere in the rules. This is a concept someone dreamed up to bring faction laws outside the guard system under the guise of role play.
@ System Owning Factions: Might wanna do something about your ownership status. Looking through the rules you're required to maintain a certain membership level to own and keep your guard system. I'm very curious as to whether some factions still have the appropriate membership levels. Keep in mind ... indies do NOT count toward your faction membership. If I were a system owning faction leader, I'd be encouraging those indies to put on the tag or get lost. They are more a liability than an asset to you.
@ Southern Alliance [SA]: If you even exist anymore ... or had a name change ... you are the registered owner of Virginia last I checked. That makes you responsible for LN, LSF, and all those indies operating (mostly in New York). If ownership has been transferred with admin approval I'd like to know. If SA no longer exists and they are still listed as the owners of Virginia ... well ... it would seem there is no Liberty Guard system owner and thus no ZoI for Liberty. Prove me wrong on this please.
EDIT: I've not seen an [SA] tagged vessel in months.
Baltar
5. Only way an under 30 player can be neutral or green with Order Guard is if they spent a LONG time working Order missions in Omicron Minor ... kinda impossible for an under 30 to fight those missions ... so you'd have to be higher than 30 to build the rep and then once the neutral to green rep was obtained you'd have to buy a small ship and transfer all your credits to another character
You are so very very wrong here. Anyone who make's it to Order space who want's to become order just's group's with a vet. The vet does mission's, he become's green. Both my order char's were green in under 1 hour.

I'm sorry, does this mean that the [LN] cannot enforce contraband or the Rheinland embargo outside of their guard system? The KNF cannot drive away a Percheron with a trader ID, outside of their guard system?
Just forget about this, its not a BIG deal.... The guy was obviously trying to become an order member, and he had no right being in 100. Just drop it though its really not that big of a deal.
