I will be investigating solutions for compatibility and installation for the two mods over the next week. I'll try and get it done as quickly as possible.

I have it somewhere on my computer in the original zip from moddb, I think. But I dont know where and how to upload it to this site, as well as copyright-issues and whatnot.
I'm afraid that I tried HudShift with 4.86 to no avail, which is leaving me to use a 1024x768 windowed mode. If however anyone else has success with using it, do let us know!

Hudshift seems to work just fine for me - just remember that you need to reapply the changes to dacom.ini after every update, as it may have been overwritten/changed by the update.
Here's a download link for Adoxa's Hudshift that I (temporarily) uploaded to my server, since it doesn't seem to be acquirable anywhere else online after Adoxa's server went down. Hopefully it'll be up again soon.
What you need to do is:
1. Add "hudshift.dll" to the list of DLLs (under [Libraries]) in dacom.ini, located in Freelancer install directory\EXE
2. Move hudshift.dll to Freelancer install directory\EXE
3. Move hudshift.ini to Freelancer install directory\DATA\INTERFACE
4. Open hudshift.ini. Find your monitor/window aspect ratio or resolution. It's at the top of the .ini.
5. Remove the semicolon - the ; - from where it says [;HUDSHIFT] for your resolution/aspect ratio
6. Save hudshift.ini. Launch Freelancer.
When I installed it I found it changed, but not quite properly. Didn't like my 16:10. But I'll give it another try, if I can get away from windowed it's worth it:D
Worked that time O.o Thanks Error! had to add the -d<Width>x<Height> and -w options though; without it, it's still just the 1024x768 stretched across 1280x800.
Hudshift works just fine. AS I'm playing in windowed mode due to multi-monitor setup, I set the resolution to 1900x950 and just had to change the hudshift.ini entry to 0.2.
In order to put the HUD even closer to the border, I went a bit with trial& error and found 0.25 to do the job just fine.
You only have to comment out the options that you do not need and activate the ones you need. Space explained that pretty well. In my case I simply added a new option for my "unique" size.
I'm having some problems with Hudshift, and that is, it doesn't work for me.
Iv'e done all those steps mentioned by Error and the window size is the same. Iv'e tried all the configurations that's on the hudshift.ini, and even farting about with the other values on the .ini didn't work.
All the files are in there place and I have modified the dacom.ini file. I even put it in both the Freelancer installation directory and the Discovery directory, and still nout.
