So no one disagrees with me anymore that they will have an advantage (trust me I'm getting tired of this thread too but I would like to know if you do and why, I especially wouldn't mind hearing from someone in IND)?
I don't believe there's ever been a question that there'll be an advantage there, but I didn't read 100+ posts of petty arguing. But it's a minor one. Everything they can do with their ID, you could do on two seperate characters without having the risk of lawfuls harassing your trader on lawful runs and lower risk of certain anti-Interspace pirates constantly harassing you no matter what.
I think you'll find McNeo has been in The IND for well over two years now according to my records ...
Little more research into roleplay and factions may not go amiss before making assumptions and demands

And due to the fact this has truly been done to death, I worked out it has had around 6 posts an hour for
the last fifteen, I think there is probably something else around now that warrants serious attention.

Thank you for your opinion on whether this warrants attention or not Hoodlum, not that I don't value that opinion and think it is getting very close to my own, but I think people should be able to make that decision themselves. I am curious what assumptions I made because I would like to make an effort to correct them.
Other than that, fine, I'm done arguing this point, you already compromised and budged once, after these most recent comments I doubt even more it will happen again. It also seems like any more movement will be rather more unfair in regards to all the time and effort that has been spent on the IND RP. As I said before I just hope in the future others will be able to start factions that have similar advantages if they provide enough quality and quantity of RP.
Negotiation for any long standing faction to gain a permanent foothold has always been available, to anyone
who has the credentials. Unfortunately, in the past one or two who got their own IDs immediately folded.
Muddied the waters a little till recently, with the notable exception of one.

I think if you took a look, you will see many faction that have been around a lot less time that have their own id's with there own advantages. Let me see if I can list a few, currently we have, SCRA, Phantoms, Keepers, Wilde, I may be missing others, in the past we have had AW, and Helgast. In the next version we will see ID's for the Harvester, CR, Privateers and IND, and I think a few others. We will see a custom NPC faction and ship line for SCRA, and a custom ship for Monstar who is an individual player who has put an extensive amount of rp into his character. I think if you look you will see lots of ways in which dedication to rp is rewarded in this game. I also think you will find ID's are not given to a faction for an advantage, but instead when the faction rp in question differs enough from the ID they are using as to be better served by their own custom ID.
I agree, and am aware of these factions, IND is the only one it potentially allows to make money faster , which allows them to have more characters and more opportunities to make good RP, that was and always has been my biggest concern, I know it wasnt given to them for this purpose, I doubt very little is done by the leaders of this community with anything but the best of intentions, I just wanted to make sure it was fair as it seemed not to be. For the most part I now think it is. I have a question though, now with the strict ID's how are you supposed to make a faction that differs enough from the original ID, A special RP request?
These factions that have gotten their own ID's have not started with them. I would assume it will be the same as it always has been, try and fit the ID to the rp as much as possible and then if there are no options, seek a special rp request.
is it about the money? really? is it about the fact that the IND will be able to make money "faster" than others?

1)The money the IND accumulates is probably a byproduct of their RP, not the other way around. They go around RP-ing traders...guess what, they're going to make money, and a lot of it.
2)Has anyone bothered to take into account the fact that most trade routes are changing thanks to Xoria and will probably be balanced closer between smuggling and trading (and mining) to the point that i ask "does it really matter that much?"
3)have i mentioned they're a trader faction? with plenty of diplomatic ties to back up the fact they're EVERYWHERE, both legit and shady?
you've already slapped them with the fact they aren't allowed to now use all of the fine 5k transports coming in...thanks for that. A lot of selfishness is being shown in the name of "fairness". Akuma, is that you?
and for the record, i don't have an IND, and only know Koolmo IN the IND.
