This is Dr. James Worthington at Leeds Medical. I regret to report that one of your constables, Gideon Trevelyan, was shot down tonight over Leeds. He has gone through surgery well - shrapnel and burns mostly - and since has come in and out of consciousness. While lucid, he has communicated the following notes and has one image which I was unable to include here.
- Lane Hacker Jason.Merced
- appears to have been gunboat
- Mr. Trevelyan said he didn't even have the chance to address the pirate before the pirate began shooting; he said he briefly notified naval forces in the area, but help did not arrive in time
- hard to see in the image, but Merced says upon destroying Mr. Trevelyan's ship, "Now where [sic] even" - the Constable indicated he'd never met Merced before, and could only assume it was some previous problem with BPA
Constable Trevelyan was still in a life pod when emergency crews launched following notification of his ship's destruction. He is in good shape and should be fully recovered in a couple of days.
Mr. Trevelyan provided the comm codes for this message. As always, please notify if we can be of assistance. He is clearly anxious to return to duty.

Gentlemen, bad news!
A most disturbing and bizarre scene just occured in the orbit of Planet Leeds. I had just finished the take-off procedure to begin my patrol in Leeds, as my shield was suddenly ripped down... Shocked and surprised, I hastily scanned the ships in range and found the aggressor: a Kusari State Police-IDed Catamaran Bomber!
The fact alone that a KSP would venture this far into Bretonia is already inconceivable, but on top of that, nobody seemed to notice him. Neither the Leeds planetary defences, nor the BAF patrol, nor the mercenary in a Bretonia Cruiser did any effort to engage him.
Still overwhelmed by the surprise, I crashed into a mine and was forced to eject.
Fellow officers, we must do something against this!

Well Sergent Vimes,
It seems like you took off Leeds just after a leakage in the coolant system forced me to disengage with the Kusarian spy and land to Leeds. He must then just have been prepared to take you down.
Our fight lasted some 5 minutes, and the ships I)ONT_ST()P, Lorenzomus as well as Rajje were already there and haven't helped me as well, just watching the engagement going on. I would therefore request them being fined for idling, since I asked for help twice and none of them answered it or engaged.
Before this unexpected problem that prevented from fighting by Vimes side, I also spotted a Pirate ship named Kassad, carrying several captive pilots on board, including Britonian fellows. When asked to drop them, he strongly refused and escaped to Magellan system. Lord only knows what they are doing to these pilots now. I know we have to issue warnings before opening fire, but I cannot stop thinking if I had immediately engaged him, I could have freed them. Anyhow, here are the proof required if he were to be placed under a bounty. BAF member Douglas Bader can also testify.

Edit : After a quick and efficient inquiry, it seems to appear that the sirs Lorenzomus and Rajje were in no way able to help me. They were facing some really nasty board computer virus and therefore trying to dock to Leeds to get their ship repaired. They had to cope with a completely out of order nav system, which explain why they stayed in orbit for so long but couldn't help against the Kusarian.

Gentlemen, while taking out my Hussar tonight, I joined the Constables McNab and Lawrence on their patrol. After a short time, we encountered a vessel belonging to the Order in New London, =ORDER=_Gentle_Star.
We asked him about his intentions and performed the usual scanning procedure. What we got then was very surprising;
Two Nomad Energy Cannons and a Nomad Thruster! It made me wonder that someone belonging to that mysterious organization, that is rumored to hunt all aliens, should carry such equipment. His intentions were questionable as well; he was "passing through, getting to Liberty".
Since Liberty is our very trusted ally in these difficult times, I have studied their diplomacy back in the apprenticeship on the New London Police Academy and thus know that Liberty has declared the Order as enemy of the state.
We warned the Gentle Star not to cross Bretonian space again while carrying unlicensed Nomad weaponry and let him proceed on his path. I immediately contacted the LSF via long range frequencies though and warned our allies in advance. They were glad to know about the situation.
My Hussar seemed to have several problems with his systems though, so I had to do an emergency docking on Kensington and let the mechanics commence their work. I hope they will sort this out for me in time.

A constable Gregory Vederman was dropped off by an unidentified craft in an escape pod suffering from burns with an image uploaded into the database of his cockpit's escape pod.
Upon questioning the constable reported the following:
-Request by IMG trader for escort to LD-14, Leeds System, from Sheffield Station, Manchester
-Heavily Armed and armored IMG Fighter Craft disrupting trade lane to Sheffield Station
-Fire was immediately opened by Enemy Pilot
-Pilot was ID'd as Corsair, however, true identity unknown
-Engagement was short, ending in Gregory's ship being destroyed almost directly after hailing
Constable Vederman has suffered quite extensive burns, and upon a proposal to recover here, has requested to be transported to the medical centres on Planet Cambridge from Kingston. We are deliberating this request, as his recovery shall be a bit slow. At any rate, he has stated that he will fill out a proper report of his entire day's patrols.

Subject: Patrol report, multiple Dragons in Bretonia
Gentlemen,
as the mechanics finished the work on my Hussar today, I launched out of the hangar and had the usual afternoon patrol together with Sergeant Vimes. When we entered Leeds - highly frequented at that time - we encountered a Blood Dragon, flying a Red Catamaran bomber, codenamed [Black~Lagoon]-Torpboat.
Upon requesting what his intentions in Bretonia were, he answered he'd like to "discover and get some weapons". I know that the Blood Dragons are a positive influence for us in the war, since they are weakening the Kusarian enemy, but nevertheless, Sgt Vimes and I agreed that no potential terrorist should get his tools for murder in Bretonia. We kindly asked that pilot to take his leave through the Tau 31 gate, but he very unkindly - and unexpected for one of those warriors that call themselves honourable - replied he didn't have to listen to us.
He energized his cruise engines and headed to the Manchester jump hole. We followed. After multiple orders to leave Bretonia space, he headed to the Magellan jump gate with the words "I'll go through Liberty". Apparently, those Dragons need a lesson in astrographie. Liberty definitely is not the fastest way to Kusari.
On our evening patrol, the event repeated itself, this time with a Raven's Talon named Ainyi_Talanyi, another Blood Dragon appeared - from Cambridge! I really am keen on knowing what he did over there or in the Omegas...
Anyways, this one showed even less manners than his brother, disobeyed our orders, and opened fire at us. Constable Lawrence, Sergeant Vimes and I engaged and decimated his shields and hull severly. He somehow managed to escape though, speeding up and making his ship blend with the surrounding asteroids... I guess that is one of those Dragons' new technologies...
Later in Cambridge, we had multiple violations of our transportion policies. The vessel [TAZ]Phazed carried tons of Counterfeit Software, claiming it to be "their holy book". We insisted on what our scanners found though and Sergeant Vimes succesfully received the fine of two million credits.
Then, an Outcast Sabre, Proto entered the system, carrying Nomad weaponry. He ignored our orders to shut his engines and engaged us with blazing guns when halted with a cruise disruptor.
The fight was short however, as we heavily outnumbered him and had the helping gun of Sir Charles Wellington:
I made my way back to New London in order to continue with the paperwork and the filtering of information about possible sightings of Burlington...

In what is becoming a routine occurrence, I was shot down over Planet Leeds tonight by Lane Hacker Lupis.Magnus. Fortunately, this time I was able to eject in tme and only received minor abrasions before emergency crews were able to rescue me and take me to Leeds Medical.
Unfortunately, during this short battle, an LSF vessel idled in Planet Leeds space, neglecting to help as the pirate opened fire, and ignoring my call for assistance. I was not able to capture the name or an image of this useless individual. With friends like these...
I have been treated and released from Leeds Medical, and should return to duty soon.
