{OoRP}, the brainchild of Adamantine Fist. It was an April Fool's joke; everyone would make a name like "{OoRP}O'WUT'siris", "{OoRP}Alb'LOL'tross", etc, and fly 'fleas, acting tough.

The first thing you'll probably notice is that I have "created" a System infobox template out of the ship infobox template (hope that's OK :/ ); apart from that and the text under "Synopsis" (which I only have edited slightly) pretty much everything on the page was written by myself or directly copied from FL (again, a little bit edited though).
Feedback please.
It does look good.
What Looqas said. We'd have to ask Igiss as he's the one who wants people to discover things. Is it too much info? Is it too little info? I don't know. But it's better than what we had.
And.. I think having an image of Manhattan could be confusing. There is more to New York than Manhattan. Thats a perception I would love to change somehow, and having Manhattan as the Wiki -NewYork- focus reinforces that "incorrect" perception.
Maybe.... I dont know... something interesting? Something other than the main planet or one of the bases? (Im talking principle/precedent here not just New York.)
I've been thinking about the same what Hyung said about how to capture the whole system in a picture. The map is out of the question, since Disco is about discovery and there are tools that let you know every crook and cranny of it already.
I've been thinking that a more scenic view including the primary sun(s) and the possible planets in the background would be the best avenue. The picture would have to be taken from a far to give it a vista likw view. Well. One can always try that out.
On the other note I think that notable events type of section could work. It could be used to write out a bit of history of hosted events. As long as it's kept in reasonable bounds. With those bounds I mean that the event should be well documented in the forums and not a one-man show.
<strike>As for the picture: the problem is, it can't be larger than 180x140px. I tried a more scenic view, including the sun, Manhattan, Pittsburgh and Maine, but the problem was that everything except the sun wasn't much larger than a couple of small dots. Feel free to upload a new picture though if you think it would be better. I just took a more-or-less OK picture because I thought better a picture of mediocre quality than no picture at all.</strike>
Hold on, I'll try to further edit the template so that it would allow larger pictures. Shouldn't be much of a problem.
And well, the "discovering" thing...I think that someone who really wants to discover would avoid reading the wiki pages on systems, just like he wouldn't use tools like Freelancer Explorer or Companion.

While that is semi-true, you still need to run the amount of info that we "reveal" on the wiki past Igiss. Because of a conversation with him, we removed the ship selling locations. Same thing applies here.
How much info does he want us to reveal on that aspect of the wiki.
You want to ask him or shall I?:)

It would be nice if you ask him on my behalf, as I haven't got his Skype/(insert other IM protocoll he uses) address and I bet that his PM folder gets spammed so much that you'd get a reply from him much faster than I would.
Edit: Oh, and I further edited the System_infobox template so that the pictures can now be displayed in a resolution of 250?188px. I hope that's OK now.

Nope. Igiss has answered my PMs pretty quickly in the past.
I think you Nat should PM Huyung your Skype name so he can add you to wiki editors chat.
I like the New York page. Definitely use it as the template for all the others. The amount of info on it is just fine, since it is very general, which should be the case. Good job Nathrael.
Nathrael: One thing I noticed... you edited the Planet_Infobox and Base_Infobox to add those few other statistics, but it can't be done that way cause every base has different ones.. so perhaps rollback those changes?
