armoured civilian liner

well, the liner part in the description is misleading - its really meant to replace the talarca ( i m only doing replaces atm, not new models ) - the talarca is a full blown cruiser - but the only civilian kind. while the model itself isn t really bad - considering its from star trek - it could need a little replace.

about the military look. - yes, think of such a ship to be more a cruiser than a liner. - something like a reserach ship for the outer regions - not really meant to trade with of course.

as a replace, it would have the very same stats the talarca has ... so its gonne be cruiser class shields / turrets. - the only thing that might change is a change in agility and armour, due to a different size.

i m currently texturing it ( the engine part is a pain to texture ) ... it ll look more FLish then. - i m currently deciding between a silvery liner skin or a mostly bronze ( or lets say pale tan ) civilian skin. i could also give it a cool bretonian skin ( i finally found the bretonian texture files ) - but while it would look cool in white / red with bretonian ornaments - .... the talarca is sold in kusari, as far as i know.... so thats a no go.

I love my Talarca:( It'll be a shame to see it go, but it makes sense.

No way to keep the current size and agility stats? (that's one of the things I love about the current ship)

Also, I vote for the bronze texturing.

The current ship has a very elegant front end to it. It's the wings that make it not so "freelancer". I know you've put a lot of work into this current model, but I'd like to see something more simplistic, with an elegant line to it. Beautiful, hiding deadly.

Oh my god Jinx, I love you.... That is amazing. Now there is a contender for the best ship ever made. Between this and the new Albatross battle-cruiser.... Id say this wins because it looks a little better and its half the price.

wow... that's cool looking.

It has just enough 'kusari' in it to remain as a privately-constructed vessel from kusari space. The round part on the back and the engines look very kusari-designed, but it also keeps a unique look to itself.

It's too bad I wont be able to use this vessel for my hogosha, cant pirate in cruisers :(

then again, it could be a good hogosha boss flagship. Can we get a size comparison to the current talarca cruiser? In general I prefer more agile vessels for kusari-designed ships, most of their warships and fighters follow a similar design; high manuverability but lower armor.
