I'm not sure whether you guys are aware of the Council RP, but I ran into you guys with a freelance firefly and RA in Roussillon. Your pilot refused to stop, and then your [GBS] marked ship refused to answer our questions. The reason we were so hostile: Roussillon is a secure system, and no one is supposed to know about it. It is so close to Gallic Controlled space that we cannot allow anyone except approved ships to enter. You flatly refused to answer our questions and send us information about you freelance contractors. We would be alright with Colonials, but freelancers are beyond the question.

To: The Council.
For the incidence of our contractor being way off course we apologise, he was returning from New London, but due to a battle going on at the time he took a wrong turn ending up in Newcastle with the twin choice of Rousillon or Drake, knowing Rousillon is 'friendlier' than Drake the decision was made to send him that way, but to meet him with one of our Nyx to smooth his progress.
He was close to the Baffin Jumphole when hailed by 2 unknown ships, when questioned as to what he was carrying and where to he followed our instructions to the letter and gave limited responses.
Upon the arrival of our Nyx, the pilot made himself known and explained that the ship was indeed one of our contractors. The Nyx was then kept separate from our Cargo by the Baffin JH. For over 20 minutes we were harangued by questions which we are unwilling to answer. I told the Ships (now known to be council) that I would escort the freighter to its' destination port out of their space. As I was carrying Colonial ID papers I assumed this would be OK, I went through the hole into Baffin and formed up on my cargo. We were then subject to endless threats and endless cruise disruptors, so to save your organisation any more wasted missiles i instructed the freighter to form on me and we used impulse all the way across Baffin to the Coronado JH where the process began again. I stated that the Council did not have jurisdiction in Baffin to which the reply was 'we have jurisdiction everywhere'. Jumping through into Coronado, safe we assumed, we set course for safe harbour at Barrier Point. Once more our cruise engines were constantly disrupted for the entire Journey. Upon stopping at Barrier Point the frieghter began to dock and a flurry of shots went into it. Let me state that it is COMPLETELY UNARMED, he docked successfully.
As I went to dock my Nyx message came up between the two pilots "did you see that mine , it hit me" and they then destroyed my Nyx as it was attempting to dock.
For the record my Mine dropper was without ammunition as I had been out on training exercises and we do not use mines for those.
So... We explain who the ship is under contract to, we attempt to bring it out peaceably, chatting in a friendly way all along and are destroyed ion the Colonial Home system without a chance to respond.
We are willing to let this be a catalogue of errors on all sides.
It is with great pleasure and respect that GBS command announces the promotion of 2LT John "Excession" Banks to the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
Along with this promotion, in recognition of the tireless and dedicated work he has done in keeping the squadron supplied with both credits and supplies, he is also awarded with Special Extraordinary QuarterMaster duties.
1LT Banks will lead and organise the players with smaller ships in to keep essential supply runs manned, as well as assisting newer members with getting their cashflows up and running.
Congratualtions Lieutenant, we know you'll do us proud!

GBS Patrol Report
DTG: 20140323-2300
Patrolling Vessels and/or C/S: [GBS]ATHENA[CXR].[GBS]DIONYSIS[CXR], [GBS]HYBRIS[CXR]
System/Area of Patrol:Omega-3
Purpose: System security patrol
Cruiser ATHENA proceeded to perform a routine patrol of the OMEGA3 system. Minor issues from a Molly patrol that wouldnt turn around and opened fire, ships disabled and pilots extracted for processing at FP1
On relocating to FP1, a Molly Destroyer by the name of Golden Rush was harassning local traffic. Request for assistance was sent to command, as being recon ship, the ATHENA was outclassed. No hostile overtures made and the Athena did not open fire, even when provoked by the Molly and demands were made to release the rescued Molly pilots.
Athena ignored threats and docked at FP1 to release prisoners for processing by the Zoners.
Reinforcements arrived in the form of the Cruisers DIONYSIS and HYBRIS, causing the Molly to tactcially withdraw.
After this, the area remained quiet and eventually a BAF patrol of a Battleship, Destroyer and fighter escort arrived for purposes unknown. After waxing lyrical for a while they then withdrew back to the inner reaches of Bretonian space. Their intention for visiting is not clear at this time.
Report Ends.
Personal note: I received a furious report from one of the ships Captains that the BAF Battleship demanded they address a BAF Ensign as "Sir"?
(I'll not repeat the full tirade here, but the general thrust of the message was "Like hells I'll be calling some upstart figher-jock half my age - with respect - fracking "Sir" at the request of a Brit.")
I'm not sure how they do things over in Bretonian space, but methinks they need to look up thair military regs and ranks in a little more detail.

Absolutely agree Major, in my opinion giving an ensign, the most junior Naval Rank command of a Battleship must indeed speak volumes for the way in which their war goes. To be so lacking in senior ranks must mean that their war efforts are on the wane.
As you are aware, our newly commisioned officers are supplied with a VHF or a Bomber, under exceptional circumstances, they MAY be given temporary command of a Gunboat. Likewise our 1st Lt's are awarded command of a Gunboat, once more under exceptional,or operational conditions they may be given temporary Command of a Cruiser.
Captain Rank and above are those who will be given command of our Capital ships on an operational basis.
As for an ensign expecting a Major in another, at the time, allied Military Unit (BAF rank equivalent of a Ships Captain) Sir, is ludicrous in the extreme.
I myself came upon this issue also recently, while in Command of our Flagship. Demanding a Flag Rank Officer bow to a mere 'Ensign' is the epitomy of rudeness and disrespect, that seems to run through the Navy like a seam of copper.
My advice Captains, is to politely ignore such requests and deny comms until proper ettiquette is observed.
