there's no missile that is reliable enough to hit GBs properly. Heck, even Cannonballs are something that a GB can react fast enough to with CMs.
I'm not certain of what exactly they need, but bombers need SOMETHING done for their guns.
They're supercharged fighters designed for murdering capitals, and yet there's little to no reason to have the guns (And frankly at this rate, no need to use bombers on anything smaller than a heavy cruiser now that fighters are ridiculously strong)
I think it's silly that fighters can pump out more hull and shield damage than a bomber but what do I know
The problem with missiles is that you're invincible to missiles if you are atleast mediocre in dodging and using your CM effectively. They are not reliable enough to be of good use against a gunboat. To give them more damage in order to compensate this issue would make them better against fighters, and that might be just a little over the edge.
What could help if there were would be variable damage depending upon the shipclass of the enemy. (i.e. 1x damage against snubs, 2x damage against GBs, 5x damage against cruisers, 10x damage against BS).
Giving a damage buff to the guns would be awesome, since they're not that good against snubs anyway. Since the Solaris nerf you wouldn't have to be worried about getting hit from 1k away when flying towards them and launch your SNAC.
I don't think the variable damage can be implemented mechanics wise though. More variation in weapon choice for bombers would definitely be appreciated though.

It might be doable for the shields, but there's no way to do it for hulls mechanics wise.
