If I am forced to fly bombers, I favor the light ones for most activities, piracy included. Touketsu, Orchid, Moray comes to mind. Snac only.
There's a class of medium bombers are are very good too. Cougar, GMG bomber, and the new Gaian bomber (which is also usable on a Corsair ID).
For anti cap warfare, I like Waran. It has a larger shield which can be helpful when battleships uncloak on you point blank, and you can fit both a nova and a snac on it. Beware that it is fairly large and slow, putting you at a severe disadvantage when fighting other snubs.
Try them out and see what you like.
Edit:
And Mamoru, didn't know how I could forget that. Plus, Bergelmir.
Of the normal ones, all that can mount 2 torps + CD and a freighter shield. The Challenger is at the first place because it's the smallest of those.
I don't use bombers against snubs, but against gunboats and capital ships, so what I need is firepower and the shield's ability to withstand a sudden razor or a few flaks.
Against snubs, although I don't think bombers should be used for that, I have heard that the Couguar is one of the best, but I remember the Mamoru was very good too, if they didn't nerf it.
