Liberty has been delightful as always. I finished the job with The Rogue. I’m looking to get a large number of healthy slaves from him in compensation.
Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker. While I was in Liberty I ran across quite a large number of Freelancers running alcohol of all sorts. To let the crew take a break, and skim some cargo off the top I’ve taken the Roach Coach on this new trade run. While on the run a message came by from a group called the Bloodrose Syndicate. Offering subsidies for Cardimine trade of all things. With any luck this will provide a nice boost to our profits for this cycle.

My agreement with the Rogue paid off, quite well. 3,000 healthy male slaves were delivered to Allentown. Which is good because I've grown tired of the screams of the women and children when I eject them from the ship, worthless as they are. It’s anyone’s guess where they came from; but the outcasts paid us quite well for the lot of them. In the mean time we’ve continued to work on the contract laid out by the Bloodrose Syndicate.
I ran into my old pal Captain Antares of the Argo. We bantered a bit and he offered to escort me though Kusari on my way to Liberty with some orange dream. The flight was quiet as usual but the escort was welcome. Given how hard I’ve been pushing the crew, and more importantly the engines I’ve let them all have the night off while we are unloaded on Houston. In the morning we’ll leave for Allentown.

That…was quite a trip. To sum it up easily turrets 2, 3, and 11 were destroyed in the attack, 4 crew members died, and a handful of the marines died as well. I was intercepted by some Navy flyboys in California. They got mighty upset when I complied with their demand to drop all the slaves. I mean common am I seriously expected to have escape pods for all of them, heck the crew doesn’t even have a full set. At any rate they demanded I eject them, which I happily did, the thumps of air being decompressed and the sounds of bodies slamming into the hatch on the way out had a particularly satisfying sound, only to me though. Both of the pilots started yelling things about inhumane treatment and what not before opening fire. Luckily the armor upgrades and the sheer size of the vessel helped mitigate the damage to the bridge. My own safety was never in doubt.
Those poor poor slaves though, it’s a shame the vacuum of space is such an unforgiving place.
I’ll admit it. As much as I hate crossing warzones, the profits are always worth the risk. Given how toasty Liberty has been recently I’ve had to shy away from my usual routes. So I’ve had to make some, creative, trips to bring something worthwhile to Malta for my cardimine. Hopefully things will quite down soon. I hate being far from my usual routes and contacts.

I’m not quite sure what happened. I visited a cardimine bar while we were on Malta, I mean who wouldn’t. But then I visited again… and again… and again. I mean I have all my parts, and I woke up on the ship. Anyways somehow I bought a lottery ticket during the binge, and even more improbably still, I won.
I’m keeping it from the crew right now, no reason to have them think they deserve a share. It’s still going to be put to a good use though.
Its been awhile since I’ve had anything remotely legal in my hold. Although considering the gas came from… At any rate we’ve got a load of Neon, bound for Barrier Gate Station. Honestly these legal work isn’t half bad, the crew is quite relaxed and I even plan to take the lanes as far as Cortez, no reason to avoid the network. After all we have nothing to fear if we have nothing to hide.
Okay, I can’t keep the farce up, this legal stuff is boring as hell, I’ve sent another message on the signal of my last transmission to see if I can get a reply from the Rogue.
This was an exciting find. Earlier today I was crossing Tau-37 I watched as a GRN freighter get eaten alive, oddly enough the fighter wing that was dealing the damage quickly moved on from the area, not even bothering to search the vessel. Luckly I’m not in such a hurry, this time anyways.
While tractoring the remains aboard the vessel I noticed that the fighters had only really destroyed the cockpit, the rest of the vessel was more or less intact. Which turned out to be a good thing. While searching the computer network I came across an old report from the Gallic Royal Navy. Rather than throw away such an old report I sent a message to the Crimson Cross. Hopefully they are intrigued enough to trade the intelligence for an engine upgrade, lord knows this beast could use it.

I’m meeting with the Captain of the Crimson Cross to discuss the terms of our arrangement, so far I think this benefits me hugely, I’m practically getting a new engine array for free.

I’ve transferred the data in good faith; currently the Roach Coach is getting a deep scan from the Maltese engineers so they can prepare the specifications. After they complete the scan I plan on returning to Rhineland to await further instructions from Captain Venneri.
